All going well I've managed to do a deal on an 05 quad cab in Oregon.

Will be getting exported to the UK and be with me in a couple of months.

Went with this one as the Carfax is good with 3 owners and it's been well looked after.

Unfortunately in the UK there is not many for sale, the prices being listed are excessive and they have not been looked after with the climate killing the underside generally.

Next I've got to sort some nice parts to refresh things.

After reading everywhere I think I am set on the Belanger headers with cat pipes and a Magnaflow cat back to tame the noise for the neighbours.

Will be picking up the 2/4 drop kit from JTSVP as this seeks to be the popular way to go.

Other things I'll be doing some preventative maintenance on is swap of the will hoses for stainless so trans, PS and engine oil plus plugs and leads.

Anything different you would do or add as a must do then shout out.

Nice ! Looks sweet !
But I would fly over put some amphibious ocean spec paddle tires on it and drive it across the pound at full throttle rooster tailing all the way , that will be much faster getting it there and more fun hahahaha !

What are the requirements to make it legal in your country ?
Emissions , passenger side steering etc ? We know many countries require you to drive on the wrong side of the road hahahaha !

On a QC IMO a 2/4 drop is too much !
If you’re replacing the plug wires look into New Coils as you’ll be removing the intake manifold to replace the wires anyway ! Better yet see if you can do a clean looking set up to place the Coils in a more accessible location to eliminate the removal BS of the intake manifold !

Ah so on the wires looking at the venom ones that are re-routed be good to know if that makes things easier for future. Will be adding in the Daemon coils too.

To pass the UK road test 3 things are needed.

Rear indicators need to flash orange (i can rewire with orange bulbs to the reverse lights as crazily you dont need reverse lights on that age)
Rear Fog light so I am planning on using a trailer hitch light that slots in the opening.
Front side indicators. So the rule is they need to be visible when you stand 1 metre to the side of the rear bumper. Or the wrap around headlights might pass if the indicators can be seen from the rear there.

Not as bad as some countries , just ask @Kiwi SRT10 in NZ hahahaha ..

To me the coil location is ridiculous Amd should be place accessible to be able to change pug wires and coil packs easily.. Imwonder who the brain fart was behind that design hahaha

Pulling the Intake isn't too bad and I'm used to it now. New coils, new wires the last time...

Working on the new stuff, by comparison, makes changing coils/wires on an 8.3 incredibly easy.

My decision to sell is real.

And don’t tell us your going to sell the 10 to buy a Rumble-Tundra hahahaha

I prefer to not have to contort my old ass body and hang upside down to do anything anymore .. I hate the snap crackle pop of Rice Crispy’s or getting stuck under the truck without a mattress lol
