Its still firing but I bet its weak and the increased resistance can't be good on that coil. Seeing how the gloss black cai shows every scuff and scratch I think I may just wrinkle black it. The truck is shiny enough.

The throttle body will be polished. I want it to contrast and stand out so you know its there.

I think I like the headers the way they are. We will see when the intake and valve covers are black.

I may be making a carbon cai with the tube I have next weekend.

I alrdy told you, Jeff, i was planing on doing a full tune-up ASAP!!!

What was i supposed to do

1. let the truck sit in my garage down for 3 weeks until i got my full Coil packs, wires, and plugs

2. Pay $100 and wait two days for a brand new set of OEM wires that i was just gunna replace when i did my tune up?

3. stick it back on there and ride it out till i did my tune-up.

remember, i just spent the day puttin on LT headers and my sct. I could not wait to drive it

you act like i was drivin on a burnt ring or no coolant/oil in the truck or somethin.

i have seen the wrinkle coat in pics but not in perfect.

i think it was pics of amtrucker's engine bay. looked effin sweet:rock:

I'm not mad... Maybe I should have used more smilies. Seeing as I need to order wires and coils, then take the intake off, I'm pleasantly surprised re-crimping it worked as good as it does. It will get me to the weekend. No worries.

I know, they did look rough!

I sure am liking stinkers wire set. If im going to take the intake off to replace the wires, i should probably replace the coils as well. But geez, I had other plans for that $340 like throttle body and catless mids.
 
dodge says every 30k for plugs and 60k for wires...

i believe they should be 20k...course... that's with hard driving, so for the "regular" trucks, they'd probably be fine...

truthfully, i'm doing mine every 15k now... even at 20k, the electrodes seem to be a little rounded and overgapped...

when i did it i was suprized it worked at all. proly shouldnt have done it or just ordered the parts immediatly after, but i was waiten for tony to redo his menu. he said he was gunna make a whole tuneup discount together,,,,,,,,so yeah;)


glad you gat her runnin bettre, anxious to see if she makes par after the TB and coils packs/wires. you gunna run her down the track after to compare???

It is funny that he dyno'd after he installed the headers and subsequently broke the wire and just shoved it back in the boot. But im glad plugs wore the fuck out and a broken spark plug wire are potential causes of my trucks little dikk syndrome. In addition to the faulty TPS, restrictive volant cai, and the cats on these mids. Maybe when i cure the last of these fleas and ticks the dog will stop itching.
