I searched around the site looking for info, doesn't seem like many people have had the Roe head work done. For anyone that has or knows of other trucks that did, how did they turn out? I understand they claim 35hp and many feel like $2700 for 35hp isn't worth it, but that's not what I'm wanting to be discussed. From a purely peformance standpoint, I'm asking for opinions. I have a cam I bought from Venomous1, so that is a consideration as well in terms of potential with the head/cam combo. And yes, I've talked to Ronnie as well, he doesn't have any experience with the Roe heads and he'll get back with me next week about some pricing for work on OEM heads (I can't afford Strikers).

I haven't heard of anyone running ROE heads either. How do they compare to Greg Good's ported heads? ($$ & HP).

I spoke to roe about the heads they offer before, I was going to buy them for my truck before I sold it.

Nature of the beast with that truck is $$$$$ nodoubt, All in all I guess it's not to bad of a price when you compare to other things for the money.

I had to work:(. Just got back home but its a 4.5hours to Baytown from home so I'm not gonna make it, we need to goth sealy again, that's a hella lot closer to me

As far as the heads advertised on Roe's site, a (maximum) 14% increase in Intake flow and a whopping 24% increase in Exhaust flow is huge for only a 3.5 h.p per cylinder gain; if I am reading the ad right. ....I'd call Sean and ask him for more information. Try to find out what happens to the torque over the stock o.e.m. Gen III heads. I don't know of anyone using them so I would ask around. They might be fine..??..

As suggested, you could also contact Greg Good for information on his cylinder heads. Greg has been working with these heads for a LONG time.

I'll get back to you on Monday about the JM Gen III C.N.C. heads we have, there is also some new stuff in the works..

P.S. More flow sells cylinder heads; whether the engine likes the increase in flow, is an ENTIRELY different matter... ;)

$2700 is for a set of heads ported and polished by ROE ? Stage What??? That with valves and springs or bare head? Or is that the price if you send him your heads and they just port and polish them??

From my understanding, that is correct. Does not include valves or springs. I sent Sean an email so I'll see what he says and let yall know. They can also send you a core set for a refundable 750 dollar core fee, plus the 2700.

Custom Cylinder Heads feature larger volume chambers for forced induction applications, and slightly smaller for naturally aspirated. Features include: One piece stainless steel valves, heavy duty valve springs, Teflon seals, fully machined / polished ports and chambers.

well fuck me, I've read that damn description like 50 times and totally forgot it comes with valves and springs. I'm losing my mind in Afghanistan!

LOL. na I do the same a lot to.

It's all good

so the Roe heads in essence is almost a valvetrain upgrade package with a port/polish as well. If that's the case, it would be a good package for me since I bought a cam.

Info from Roe:

Which cam would you be running, the 710? And which SRT-10 Ram (Regular Cab or Quad Cab)? Hypothetically, with the 710 Cam, Built Heads and a tune in you would be looking at gains in the range of 70 rear wheel horsepower (estimating on the low side).
