Toyota tundra

Now that is a video I would like to see![/QUOTEIt didnt strike me as impressive really. 3k pound old camper trailer converted into car trailer with my buddies duramax broke down on it. i was cuttin the yard and figured i would move it to mow under. that hydrostaic transmission was singing but the mower now has almost 1400 hours and no issues. i did however pull a wheelie the whole time which was more fun. o, just hit youtube up. someone's done the same before! I might be off on my weight slightly but i know the trailer is 3k due to dump scales. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2BOT5paHo8]John Deere lawn tractor pulls F350 Dually - YouTube[/ame]

I love the cinder block hanging off the front of the mower!

There was a thread regarding that pull, on this very forum. The Tundra did indeed move the space shuttle for a very short way.

I started that thread and here is my crappy Iphone 5 video of it:

i have pulled 12k lbs with my 18hp john deere mower(not lowes knock off), doesnt mean it could pull it all day, just means i got it moving for a short period of time. one of the quad cab 10's could have done it just as easy even tho it has no 4-low IMO

Yeah my friend has a real john deere tractor, PTO, dump in front all the bells.

His is a diesel I'm guessing yours is also ?

I don't know what the rated pulling towing for that tractor is, But just times it by 29 like toyota did I believe. than see how it pulls

so if the factory calls for 1000 pounds, just strap on 29,000 pounds and video that for me :D

actually mine is liquid cooled gas. just like the one in the youtube vid i just posted. just a mower, not a tractor. It just isnt a lowes knock off. It's a true, get raped at the dealer for parts, all american John Deere lol

the truck could pull it no problem, on a flat surface, just as stated above many strong men shows they pull 50k semis,, shit there is even one of a guy pullin a semi with his semi or atlest his bag lol....

now put that rig on a incline or decline and watch him try lol

Absolutely correct. Somebody should have put some oil under the Tundra right before the pull.

The Tundra did'nt pull S*!T. Remember this is Hollywood guys.

This has been discussed in detail. Any modern 4x4 with low range could have pulled the shuttle on a level grade. Toyota saw the marketing opportunity and jumped on it. Good for them.

It did drive it over the 405 freeway. I was there and saw it done. The center had a long term contract with Toyota so they used that truck. I remember the reporters were trying to stir shit up as it was a foreign car pulling an American shuttle. The reason it did was the overpass would not have been able to support the weight of the shuttle and the transporter they where using. Any truck could have done it. I so wanted it to blow it's guts but it did not happen.

Well since nobody else will do it...

The thing they forgot to mention was that they photosgopped out the chain that was hooked to the cummins that pulled the tundra :D
