HI GUYS, CAN SOMEONE PROVIDE ANY PHOTO INSTRUCTION FOR INSTALLING THE JTSVP 1/2 LOWERING KIT..?

HOW MANY LEAF SPRINGS DO I TAKE THEM OUT?

THANKS!
KUAN

I installed their 2/3 drop and you don't remove leaf springs. You just install a lowering block between the spring and axle and use new U-bolts they provide.

what part are you stuck on?

it's pretty straight forward, i thought... popping the spindles loose was the hardest part after 115k miles, lol

the leaves stay together completely... and the block has a hole drilled in it... matter of fact, you don't even have to remove the leaves at all... use a high lift jack and support the truck from the hitch point... or put two jack stands on the rear frame rails and use your floor jack to raise the differential (complete) up from the leaves... remove the bump stops, cut an inch off of them, reinstall, slide in your blocks, put in the ubolts and crank down like hell...

up front, it's pretty self explanatory... unbolt the shock, remove brake caliper, tie it out of the way, undo the spindle bolts at the bottom and give it some love taps and it'll separate. while everything's tied up, cut off the oem bumpstop and install the pancake one... reverse order and install the new spring - you don't even need a compressor for it...

Great instructions!

Kuan I am guessing the instructions were lost as they were with the kit
There is no removal of leafs
I will email you another set of instructions

Finished

Thank you guys for the helps.

I was at shop and didn't want to wake up Tony at middle of night...I'm in Taiwan Asia.

We were lost by the lowering block...was thinking..how r you gonna lower your truck by adding a block on the leaf springs..so yes no need to remove any leaf springs!

Actually, it was very easy and straight forward..

The truck looks alot better now...but the ride is very stiff...I didn't remove the bump stops...because I don't know where it locate..

Yes, Tony I got your email Thank you!
Would you send me a photo of your supply bump stops?
I dont know which part to change..

The ride is stiff because the diff is sitting on the bumpstops. about 3" long rubber blocks on the frame above the diff. remove them and cut them down to about 1" . The space that is left once you cut them off and have the truck on the ground is all the suspenson travel it will have! If you live where the roads are rough you might want to give it move travel. Looks awesome!!
