Had transmission rebuilt at aamco about 3 months ago. Yesterday had burning smell and stop and go, in traffic. Hoping it's not tranny again.

Take it back to them and have them look at it. What kind of burning smell?

Gear oil smells different than, engine oil, coolant, power steering fluid, ATF.... what did it smell like? Which one?
 
Canada can do (2) things right:

Build an arm for your space shuttle and...

Fix a 48RE properly. :)
