the boat i am aiming for

Yea - i have someone but kills me to do it myself....

that's no boat... it's a floating nightmare !
transatlantic ? are you kidding ? i wouldn't thrust it on a canal.....:p

if i read the specs on her correctly, seems to be real top heavy:dontknow:

Vessel Center of Gravity (CG) is about 8″ below waterline. Center of Lateral resistance (CLR) is at the point where steps off the Fly Bridge meet the main deck.

Total weight below waterline 27,900# est., total weight above waterline 21,100# est., about 60% of which is low (within 3′ of waterline).

That has got to be one of the ugliest boats I have ever seen. That being said, looks roomy inside.
Not sure on transatlantic though.

I would rather have the 48 Viking on that page, but thats just me.

thats a fishing boat! i would not want to LIVE on a fishing boat.

Better than the last one, but double the price isn't it?

BTW, plenty of people live on "fishing" boats. :D

the last one had an offer on it. :p
this one is closer to me as well.
i am sure none of those prices are set in stone.
in fact when i was looking at the 85' i was going to offer them 100grand for it.

someone please tell me what is wrong with this boat?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/No-R...91083?pt=Power_Motorboats&hash=item4156c2f34b
its been on ebay for no less then 6 months now.
i cant seem to figure it out, why it is not selling.
is it overpriced? junk?
i just do not understand.

For that kind of cash a simple trip to the East Coast for a personal inspection is a bit better than asking folks on a truck board whats wrong.....better yet to have a 3rd party marine survey done......to buy it sight unseen is makes zero sense...........have owned and operated commerical boats from 36 to 175 feet and it pays to invest in a full inspection before buying...but I am sure you know that...maybe someone on the boards who lives close by could take a look at it and give you some better info.....with the price of fuel raising as I type and the economy in the dumpers it is a buyers market and there are 1,000s of fantastic deals out there..........good luck in your search..if anything pops up in the NC area I would be more than happy to check it out for ya..................and nothing wrong with living on a fishing boat..i did it for almost 8 years when commerical fishing.....

i am still 2 or more months from buying one, but i am shopping and researching still.

the survey is required by my bank for any boat not listed in NADA

still have one major thing to do, as soon as they open, i will be taking a sailing class to see how i like it. there is a sailing school right down in new york harbor.

try some sport fishers out. most have two staterooms and are easliy livable, especially since youll probably stay single the rest of your life
