    Bassani header problems

Passengerside, does anyone have a picture of the headers out of the box? Snap a pict of the tube and flange then lay the factory or Bassani gasket in place, you'll understand then. You can see even when I trimmed the gaskets to line up the bolt holes and clear the casting flat on the head, they...

    Bassani header problems

If it is the same header they sent us, they will not work. Especially with the OEM gasket..look at the picts I posted up.

    Bassani header problems

Maybe the Bassani's were D shaped before this pair they sent us. Either way Flying Low is done, first pull was 740/800rw, and I detuned him to 650/720tq with only 16 degrees total timing 93 octane.

    Bassani header problems

    # 6 shows that the factory gasket did not work with the supplied gaskets together. That is a bad rumor that cost me another set of gaskets.

    Bassani header problems

#1 shows the casting tab in the way of the upper header flange. #2 Shows the lower D port of the head #3 Shows the complete mismatch and bolt misalignment of the Bassani gasket which the header matches and does the same. #4 Shows the Bolt mis alignment #5 Shows head studs that require the...

    Bassani header problems

The heads are D shaped and the tubes are round. The gaskets from Bassani do not even cover the lower port, and the factory gaskets expose the lower tube to atmosphere. I will lay their gasket up to the head and snap a pict today. Nowhere close for even all motor applications by what they sent...

    Finally after 4 months

I agree, if you really "hear things" then simply ask me and I'll do my best to explain whether I was right or wrong. No, I have had zero failures on strapping a dyno. (I don't strap them, the dyno owners do) We had a powerful 408 Dakota with slicks-throttle plate break and stick while it was...

    Finally after 4 months

In 9 years of business, I have been sued once, by a kid who popped his head gaskets claiming sabotage, he tried for $5000 and the judge awarded him $2500. In the LX world, I built a non stroked Charger, they guy had oil consumption from a set of heads that were not even built by myself, and we...

    Finally after 4 months

When you have a turbo, it takes 2 psi in the exhaust to make 1 psi in the intake, that is why you try to keep the overlap in the cam low, to keep the dillution out and heat. The second is the intake valve requirement is greater as it is trying to lift open under boost. Stock they are around...
