I did mine years ago, but there is a thin (1/8"ish) plate that goes behind the slave. Then there is a thicker shim that goes behind the master cylinder to make the pedal the correct height.

If you don't have a tool like that then its not coming out, call your snap on guy asap. Also if you are changing your clutch out a lot find a old t-56 input shaft and use it instead of that plastic piece of crap alignment tool.

The roll over valve gets stuck in the fill neck, happens while filling the truck with running. Fill the tank to the top, literally till gas is up the filler neck. I will take forever if the tank is empty, but it will get the ball loose. Mine got stuck enough I finally replaced my gas tank.

Reinstalling a head with a bent valve is a lot off lost time and money, any machine shop can do a quick valve job.
