We (as a forum) have done this in the past for a few members, mostly (only) for financial and medical problems. Donating money to someone because their motor blew is not a financial hardship. It cost me well over $13K of my own money to get my truck working again after it blew up on the dyno...

Heck, the SRT Ram at BJ Motors has 70,xxx mile on it. I've seen and heard about Vipers with well over 100K on them.

Crap, I know your pain all too well. Which rod was it (cylinder #)?

1800 rpm may cause you to bog off the line. Finding the sweet spot for launches on the regular cabs is difficult at best.

I'll be in Pueblo with the Stang July 12 and 13. There are about 50 cars racing during the main event (mid afternoons). We usually run several groups at the same time (spec Miata, spec 944, CMC/AI and AIX). Lots of fun with this many cars heading into the first turn!

I wish I had my '03 Cobra, the '01 Viper, and the supercharged SRT Ram. I would have had to add on to my garage but a nice small collection I would have had. My friends '96 Mystic Cobra (stock) is in my garage right now since the race car is in his garage.

My truck with stock tires was quite a bit faster then all but one Viper (pretty well modded one) at Bandimere Speedway about a year and a half ago.

I'm still recovering from all the money I spent on my last one...replacement motor and all :( Plus, I'm now wheel to wheel racing with my $650 Mustang...which recently ran a faster lap time then my truck at Pueblo Motorsports Park (road racing) by .3 seconds. The Stang has a stock 5.0 motor...
