Oh yeah....I read it. He's just covering is azz since he's not a licensed instructor. I was looking at it as informational. Not gospel. But I hear what you're saying.
OK......have you seen this one?

Yeah, Many moons ago I worked at an airport and probably could have gotten discount flying lessons but at the time there was no way I could afford it. Now that I can afford it I can't find anybody within reasonable driving distance to train me. Sa La Vie.......
What training material are you...
I can't find anyone local to work with. My county airport doesn't have any rental equipment. Strike one....I then thought I'd look into getting a Sport certificate vs. the Private just to get things going. Looked up and found a guy but when I contacted him he says he's no longer doing it. Strike...
When I win the lottery....It will be one of my first purchases. Maybe a 182 Turbo RG with a full glass panel.......to start off with.:D
Although my wife is partial to the Cirrus with the full aircraft parachute system.
He's really an IFR instructor. I guess the thought process is you have your own plane and are VFR and want to move onto your IFR. This is where he steps in.
Just stopped by my local municipal (county) airport. They do have an instructor but don't have any rental aircraft. I guess I could run around flapping my arms like a chicken and make motor noises. Oh wells.
It's going to have to be 172 sized. I don't fit in a 152. Last time I went up in a 152 I had to fold the seat back flat and lean against the "B" pillar. My legs get in the way of the yoke.
I may swing by the airport tomorrow. It's only 5 minutes away. Really convenient if they can assist me...
What plane was that Dan? 172? 182? I've been thinking real hard about going for my pilots license if I can find an instructor and a trainer plane to rent.
Thanks for everyone's input. All good ideas.
Called NASA today. They haven't started selling the tickets for Aprils launch. Got on their email system and will be notified when they go on sale. This will get me as close as you can get. Going to try and do that one. Unless someone has press...
Now that we're down to the last three missions, everyone wants to scratch that item off their Bucket List. I've read that it's a mad house down there trying to find a good spot to view the launch. I think all the NASA tickets that you can purchase are long gone but I need to make a phone call to...
One of my "Bucket List" items is to catch a Space Shuttle launch "Up close and personal". Want to hear it, feel it and see it with my own eyes. I think there may be three more launches in 2011.
Is there anyone here who lives along the river in Titusville that would be willing to let a brother...
