    Racing on I-5

I enjoy the "kill" stories. I have SOOO many in the good ol' Superbeast. One thing I notice, you only drop down to 5th gear at highway speed. I usually would drop to 4th and sometimes third on a go. Instead of doing the long wind catch up with the engines torque, I would jump out front and just...

    My Volant CAI

The OVERALL BEST intake is the stock cold air feed with a drop in K&N filter. I have seen all the trouble members go through to improve on an already excellent air intake. When drawing from the right inner fender via air "scoop" in right front grill block off you even get a "slight" ram effect...

Want a Non OEM rear sway bar for RAM SRT-10 Reg. Cab

RC's do not have overload springs. The leaf pack has a "slapper" leaf for traction. With poly leaf bushings and a larger snubber to "preload" slapper, traction is improved significantly. However, there is a trade off in suspention compliance. The ride out back is stiffer and can "bounce" over...

Want a Non OEM rear sway bar for RAM SRT-10 Reg. Cab

Keep in mind that the quad cab trucks had SIGNIFICANTLY softer leafs out back. Set up is nothing like the RC's except for the axle and brakes. I could see a quad cab needing the "help" out back. Cheers! :)

Want a Non OEM rear sway bar for RAM SRT-10 Reg. Cab

The "kicker" shock is the lateral shock above the axle. I got mine from JMB Performance. https://jmbperformance.com/product/srt-10-rc-traction-package-stage-2-upgrade/ Note: this kit only helps with traction. This upgrade along with the poly leaf spring and shackle bushings tremendously...

Want a Non OEM rear sway bar for RAM SRT-10 Reg. Cab

The only reason you would want to stiffen up the rear sway bar would be to reduce front end "push" or "under-steer". In my spirited driving experience with the RC is that the FRONT is VERY well planted. Rear over-steer is more likely dependent on throttle input and merely "throwing" the truck...

Want a Non OEM rear sway bar for RAM SRT-10 Reg. Cab

So my question is WHY do you want the second, non OEM swaybar?

    Where does the oil go?

W50 weight oil wont "hurt" anything really. However, you WILL have increased oil temperatures and parasitic losses. ;) Not to mention, Mobil1 15W50 for example ranks 192  on "The List" https://540ratblog.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/motor-oil-wear-test-ranking/ Cheers!

170 Degree Thermostat Installed...No More Heat Issues

We do not know your location. So, ambient conditions combined with your preexisting conditions before the thermostat change may not reveal comparative results. One thing for sure, your engine at 180 deg. is NOT in the optimal operating range. The designed 190-200 deg. range insures proper...

    Gen II Intake Setup

The cool thing is you have plenty of room under the Ram hood for a "taller" intake. Keep us posted!

    Average HP Gains

FWIW, If I take my average E.T. and Trap Speed and enter them into Horsepower calculators, I get and average of 470 H.P. (Based off weight and E.T.) and Right around 500 H.P. (Based off weight and trap speed). Even with the lowest number, based off my simple bolt on "package". I would consider...

    Oil Pressure, what's normal?

Never was concerned about it. I purchased my Moper 090 oil filter from wal-mart. Just a few bucks. ;) No issues what so ever. Wix? Sure! use it if you like. FRAM!?! oh man....good luck on that! Cheers!

    Oil Pressure, what's normal?

To answer the question. 10 psi per 1,000 rpm is the standard. Any more than that when the engine is warmed up will introduce parasitic losses and heat. The Mopar "Viper" filter is a myth. The OEM Mopar 090 filter works just fine in all conditions. Cheers!

    V-10 Rebuild

    1. The two > statements are CRITICAL! Power UNDER peak with a wide torque curve will move the trucks weight easily. HUGE thrust from 2K - 5K will produce better acceleration. Peaky engines are slow and you have to keep them on the boil. Especially with the tall, wide gearing in the 6 speed...

    MOPAR Stainless Headers

When it comes to headers on these trucks..... Gains in Headaches are more prevalent than power. If you want the the best of both worlds, have your stock manifolds acid etched to increase interior volume of the "logs" by 15%. Then have them Jet Hot coated for additional heat retention and...

    Need Help

No. Sold it last may for asking price. The Superbeast was a fun and special machine. Many, many kills and always got attention.

    Need Help

At least this procedure will tell you what is not the issue!! If components check good, be sure to evaluate the wiring between each component in the circuit. Good Luck!

04 SRT 10 Ram Oil Type

Is the 0W40 Amsoil you are using the Max-Duty Signature Series Diesel oil?!? If so, it ranks #104 has a quite a bit less protection than the cheaper M1 0W40 FS you can get at wal-mart. Otherwise, what you are using is not on "the list". Cheers!
