Probably threads. You can run a tap through and clean em' up enough hopefully. Just make sure you have proper blade(s) alignment and clearance without any binding before you locktite & torque the screws.

Couple of tips for ya'all installing these...... -take a good look at throttle spring and how it is mounted. -grind off old throttle blade screws. makes it so much easier to assemble and you wont damage threads. -you will need to center blades, so hand tight, center by working by hand until an...

If you listen to the end of the clip, it sounds like air leak...maybe at the brake booster. Can I use my air compressor at low pressure and inject air in to find leak? If so, where is the best place to tap? TB port? Has anyone tried this? Thanks Again.

One would think at their price point they would be included. Just not a fan of slip joints period. The only way to deal with them is with a torch or a BFH. My plan is to replace and weld in ss V-band's being its a new install. Make sure they off-set as in this pic for a good seal.

Glad it worked out for the better. Im thinking of the same install. I like the V-band setup for easy dis/ass-embly. Was wondering about the V-band setup as the B&B slip joint pipes are different sizes. Definitely the way to go though.
