haha gotcha, so don't pull over unless the oil temp approaches 500*
What about the water/coolant temp? Should I use the red zone as the danger zone, which I think is around 250*?
That’s a great idea. I’ll ask him if he can do that. So far I’ve only asked him what he thought the danger zone would be and since my temps were way over that I haven’t replied just yet. But he did my tune (and I got the 170 t stat from him) so I’ll definitely ask him about that.
what are you...
Heyoooo!
I am curious to hear what everyone's high temps (BOTH Cruising and City Driving) are during the summer since this is my first summer with the truck. I've been hearing WILDLY varying opinions from the dealer, my trusted shop, and experts like Torrie.
For me, these are the highest...
Has anyone looked into whether or not the world record for our trucks was partly attributed to him moving the pedals up all the way, thus giving him better acceleration since his pedal travels much further down during WOT? :p
The lights in the grill are these from Yorkim, but it looks like the ones I bought from them are sold out because it was the option with the Red Halo, and I only see a yellow or blue option left in stock...
That looks pretty good! And that one that TrailMix posted looks like a viable option as well.
What I ended up doing was buying two of the aftermarket china versions of eBay and painting one Satin Black, and one a more Matte High Heat Black, since my whole hood will need repainting soon...
Nice! Do you remember how you put it back in? It looks like you slide the back end (with the screen) into the hood first at a slide downward angle and then push UP on it to engage the 3 retainer clips, and then push DOWN on the front end of the scoop to engage those 4 retainer clips.
Thanks, I’m gonna give it a shot this weekend if the weather lets up.
Anyone know the part numbers of these two missing fellas? Looks like the previous owner left me two short when he took it off to paint :(
it’s the 4 bolts that hold the whole piece on the hood. Actually on second thought...
Heyo! Does anyone have a video (or instructions) on how to remove the hood screen? The previous owner of my truck painted it a fading matte red color, and I would like to pull it off to return it back to the normal color, but when I look at the diagram online it looks like some of the hardware...
Sweet, that is the one we used
Now if anyone needs the stock exhaust (that I'm told sounds like a UPS truck) from my 05 Quad Cab, please let me know or else the shop is going to toss it in the trash asap.
haha I think I will keep them, but the salesmen at the dealership did a terrible job selling me on those sigs since they didn't even know whose signatures they were.

doubt you still need one but I just replaced the stock air box (etc.) that came with my truck that I just purchased. It had a k&n filter in there and an extra k&n drop in filter. I replaced it with the JMB Intake.
I have the exact same issue with the Roe Racing TB that just got installed this week. Surges back and forth between about 6-800 RPMs constantly while at stoplights. Shop was unable to resolve it thus far, so I’m going to see if it’ll go away after putting a couple miles on it and the computer...
you’re probably going to be hard pressed to find anyone who has changed the stock SRT10 seats since they are so perfect already, and have the nice stitching in the headrest. I’m assuming the only folks that would replace them would be folks racing their 10’s.
I’d love to get one too. I had to return the Belltech kit after the dealer who sold it to me was “positive” it would fit on my truck, and of course it did not even come close to fitting.
anyone know what the part number was on the Hotchkis Sway bar kit was?
Ended up going with the Mobil 1 0W40 for my first oil change. I’ll see what it looks like a few months from now, although I won’t be able to put any real miles on the truck since I’m working from home for the foreseeable future.
