I guess I’m not smart enough to tell where the “possible damage” is located.
If you know, do tell….
Exterior condition
front left
Possible Front Left Wheel Damage
Possible Front Left Fender Damage
Possible Front Left Door Damage
Possible Front Left Headlight Damage
Possible Front Left Flat...
I was trying to find any information concerning why my rear seats are jamming when you try to lift them to fold out metal cargo tray. I searched for a few days and finally stumbled on a YouTube that wasn’t much, but it did motivate me to remove my rear seat to see if I could fix mine by...
Somewhere in the past, my ignition switch was replaced. How do I know?
I went to Dodge and got the key code for my truck. I wanted a 1st generation key, and not a key cut from a key, that was cut from another key, which was cut from yet another key. I took the key code to the local locksmith...
I need a set of rear brake calipers for my 2005 QC truck.
I found these on eBay which is an outstanding price for both Left & Right pair, but something just doesn’t seem right.
They look identical to my rear calipers, but look at the ink stamp on them. It says 370AA & 371AA
I ended up making...
Thank God I am done with the reverse lowering of my truck.
For those that haven’t followed along, I purchase another SRT-10 (stupid huh? ~lol) that somewhere in its past was lowered.
So while converting it back to normal, I decided to replace all the front end parts, Lower control arms, upper...
I am now in the process of flipping my leaf spring from the bottom to the top (reverse lowering) on my 2005 QC.
Since I have to basically disconnect everything I thought I’d do the rotors also. What a pain! I spent 5 hours beating
the rotor hat (the area between the 5 wheel studs) with a 4 lb...
I posted a picture of this shock months ago which was kind-of distanced view.
I want to reverse the lowering done on my truck which means reversing the leaf spring from the bottom to the top of the rear axle.
I got the shock removed now and for the life of me can’t understand how it could...
These torque measurement are for a 2005 QC.
Having just finished replacing all the stuff on the front end of my truck, I thought I'd post all of the torque measurements so you
guys can easily find them.
- You will notice I tried to put down the actual page number where these measurement came...
Where can I find different (varied) parts manual for a 2005 QC? i.e. as up-to-date as the Mopar dealer has?
For example, I am trying to find the front fascia panel, part number 05029920AB and/or 05029921AB in the parts manual. Not sure of the release date, but that manual is posted in this...
I was dreading replacing the spark plugs after reading all the horror stories.
It is so easy!
So here’s how I did mine.
- Remove front tire for whatever side you are replacing the spark plugs first.
- Using a sharpie, make a small mark on the inner fender wheel well where the 5/16 hex screws...
I am now starting to put in my Champion 438 spark plugs.
The very 1st plug I took out the heat shield (item 8 on the attached) came out when pulling off the spark plug wire.
I read a bunch of different posts of people saying to remove them, and, others saying to leave them in. Yet no one is...
This doesn’t make sense to me.
What am I missing?
On a 2005, by looking at the parts manual, where do you actually look to find this number?
What am I missing? (See both pictures)
Mystery Food Weekends 1/2 way over!
Thank God we are down to 18 cans of mystery food at my house. Kind-of reminds me when I was in the military.
We started with 40 cans when the mishap began.
Never! Ever! tell your grandkid that they can have all the can labels to support their school...
When rebuilding your front calipers, would you reuse your pistons? If not, why not?
The reason I ask is Mopar 05143399aa are about $30 each, as long as you don’t go to the dealer. When you need 8 for two calipers that add to a bunch of money!
It seem like if they are not cracked, they would...
Hey all,
I know there has to be other newbies like me out there so I will post this Trivia I just found out.
I am replacing my Upper Control Arms with Moog CK7424, sometimes called K7424, arms that include the dust boot. For some reason Moog doesn't put the dust boot on, so you have to go...
I am rebuilding most of the front end on my QC truck.
After read and watching video's on how to rebuild the front calipers I decided to give it a try.
I had a spare set of calipers that I split in two, and took them sandblaster and powder coater, and they came
out great. I will post picture...
Just to gain some knowledge…
I took my knuckles to the sandblaster, then I painted them with aluminum paint.
I notice mine have “QC” stamped in the knuckle when they were made.
Was there a difference between a “RC” and a “QC”? I thought the knuckles were thesame for both. Or, maybe my thought...
So I finished up the front end suspension on my black 2005 QC.
I originally had these light on, which I thought was a faulty wheel bearing/hub, since I was getting a loud
“clunk”. So during my rebuild I ended up buying new Moog bearing/hubs.
The error lights went off for a few miles, but have...
