10 yrs USAF here. Qualified for the Academy, but PCS'd from England at the time. 21st B-day cutoff came and went with my paperwork lost - was never sent from my command back to the Academy. ChairForce is the only way to go though. Enlisted or Officer.. same cool factor for sure. :D

D'oh.. might be late on this one. Upgrading to the iPhone 3, so I have an iPhone 3G 8gig if still interested. Never had a dropped call in two years and service as been stellar! 2meg download and 400kbps upload on 3G (in my area). My brother's droid didn't even come close to those speeds.

I wasn't able to get my pre-order in before the big crash, but plan on calling the local AT&T store on the 24th to see what the scoops is regarding availablility. Hoping by the end of the month there will be some in-stock, but it's a college town so the competition is fierce. :)

I'm no expert, but seems you would have totally different symptoms if it was rings. Unless it lost so much compression on a lot of the cylinders it couldn't burn all the fuel. Metal in the oil? As stated before - do a leak down test to start ruling out problems.
