I checked Autozone last Friday, they quoted me $140. Just didn't feel like it's the right Alt, even though the guy showed me it was for the 8.3L, the price was lower than I was expecting.

Alternator dead due to all the tranny fluid from the leaky PS lines. Lines replaced, dead Alt. Does anyone have a good PN so I can buy one from a part store? Autozone has one, just don't know if it's the right one.

That never occurred to me. Yeah, that belt took a bath. Didn't hear any squealing though. Might explain why it would start charging properly with high rpm's.

Folks, have a question. Finally got the PS lines replaced, and when I picked it up, my NEW battery was dead and had to have it jumped. I noticed that while driving, I was only getting around 8 volts on the gage. If I revved the engine to about 3K RPM, the gage would go to the correct charge...

Yes it was. And in a month or so, I'll be able to move back into the place i was renting last year when Hurricane Debby put 3 feet of water inside the home. The landlord is trying to get the restoration done. Been living in a motel since mid August last year, and financially it's killing me.

Update: I got a call from Tony this past Friday, he received a batch of hoses from his supplier. Gave me a call while I was at Carmax, buying a 2023 Dodge Hornet GT+. Paid for the hoses, and he put them in the mail. Should be at the post office by now, will check Friday on my day off. Hit...

Do you have a P/N for the fittings?

That would be a good idea. Problem is, getting the dimensions and spec for the fittings. I've looked online and can't find any specs.

It's no joke, had to use my full body weight to make it around a round-a-bout by where I live.

Update: Tony still waiting on the machine shop to fabricate the fittings, called him again yesterday. This is becoming a headache, the local hyd shop said they don't do automotive, and would need to reuse my fittings. That's the whole issue is the damn fitting on the high pressure line...

Knock on wood (my head), I have 103K on mine, no issues other than the leaky PS lines. Did 115mph on the interstate coming to work this morning, with a smile I might add.
