I would have to have two. This thing has side pipes from venomous racing in Texas. Would be killer though lol.

Catch can yes. First vehicle I’ve had with one, I usually slap a breather on them and let it vent to atmosphere, plug it where it attaches to the intake.

Me too. I would cringe when I drove it because I knew it needed changing lol. But it’s done now and I feel a ton better.

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Finally got around to changing the oil, got tied up last weekend with other chores so I didn’t get to it. Changed the oil on the bike as well…. Used a K&N on it as well as the truck. Not sure about them. Both looked like the O ring was seeping, more so on the bike. See how the car quest filter...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Funny you mention the tailgate. I removed the one on my 05 2500 a few times. Very heavy for a tailgate. When I pulled the one off the 91 D150 I almost twisted my back because it was so much lighter lol. I was expecting it be just as heavy as the 05, it was much lighter lol. Everybody complains...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

We just missing the fire, marshmallows or hot dogs and beer bahahaha. I’ve got a lot to learn on these 8.3s seems the oil pump is like the hemi, mounts to the front of the crank. The oil pick up tube is interesting for sure, it was on my 5.7 when I rebuilt the top end. I managed to slide it out...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

I don’t think the sticks are meant to be exact, more of a “it’s good to drive” over dull and it’ll splash off the counterweights of the crank and air-ate, and foam the oil. Not good for lubing sensitive parts, too low it’ll starve for oil. Long as your in between the two you should be good lol...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

It could be. I only changed it once and looked it up I saw 10 earlier today lol. I’ll go a quart at a time after 5 And stop at the full line. I’m still used to 7 from the hemis I’ve had over the years. New learning curve with the V10 but I’ll get it after a little bit. I’m just glad it’s not 20...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Nice. I used shell in my 97 Yamaha Vmax 1200 then in my second gen. 1700 (one I used the Valvoline in) bought brand new in 2018 so it was still new when I tried the Valvoline. Now I use it in my Indian pursuit. Need to change the oil in it…. Haven’t had much time to ride with moving, mowing...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Yes. Never had a problem using shell rotella. Tried Valvoline motorcycle oil made it 10 miles couldn’t shift to 2nd, didn’t want 3rd either but with a little throttle and slipping the clutch I got it to go in gear. Got back home drained the Valvoline and put shell back in, shifted like a dream...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

Mann was in that YouTube video JB posted. It did good by their tests, seeing the flow rate, debris percentage and the insides, Mann does look like a good quality filter. I’ve seen them around, and put a few on. They have a good solid body, and for a filter has some girth to it. I put a few on...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

I was surprised by all the responses it’s gotten. I like to learn what others use, and horror stories. I used to use Fram filters years ago late 90s very early 2000s and just got away from them for no particular reason. I know old timers that swear by them, never had a bad thing to say about...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

I just got two 836AB filters from Amazon today. They updated something if it’s now AC. I’m always seeing on FB about how others can’t get the 836AB even from dealers it’s on BO. Some are die hard and have to have the 836 or it’s the end of the world lol. Mobil 1 makes a great filter, and oil...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

It’s too bad the 090 wasn’t in that as well. I’ve used the 090 for years on my old 318s/360s and 5.7s the 6.4 oddly used a smaller filter on my 2500 I had. Can’t forget about the 3.9 I had had lol, used a 090 as well. Those or the NAPA gold equivalent I used to know the number off the top of my...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

From my research, Fram is owned by PGI NorthStar (parent company premium guard) based out of Memphis. They acquired Fram from bankruptcy along with 12 other aftermarket manufacturers including autolite, trico and several others. Amsoil outsources to Donaldson and champion laboratories…...

    CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

CAT filters are a 50/50 joint between caterpillar and Donaldson called “advanced filtration systems Inc.” (AFSI.) I know Donaldson is covered under cat factory warranty, anything else and you won’t have a warranty to worry about using because they will deny any claims if any other filter is...
