CAT (caterpillar) oil filter

That a lot of drag and horse power loss .. Not to mention if a Rumble tundra shows up could make a difference between winning or loosing ..
How do you intend to remedy that and how ! Im sure the spring replacement is a large part of the drag . Is the spring a simple replacement like they use to be on the small blocks in the past ?
The RumbleTundra should be a much closer race than the original TRX was.

A tenth apart is more of a Driver's race: (11.7 to an 11.6) Again, IF they can run 11.6s....I could be in their rearview mirrors.

Yes, I should look at reducing oil pressure first.

Always fun when guys are looking for a nitrous system or a turbo or a supercharger when running something n.a.

Yes, it stems from the old, original foot-to-the-floor for carbs that used a choke pull-off way of thinking.

Try it on any modern vehicle...

"Oh No...The Car Won't Start!!"
Go under the hood for a few seconds get back in and start it up. Instant Hero Status from your friends and family!! :)

The 6.0L Ford Powerstroke Diesel had an oil cannister right on top of the engine. If you did it right, it was mess-free ( mostly ).
I think I’ll,check my Dakota and see what happens hahahaha

Take off the heavy damn tailgate too lol

I've thought about that because it's no lightweight at 5585 (with Driver). But the launch technique with stock suspension is pretty tight. That 100 pound loss off the back may send the drag radials into fits!

Funny you mention the tailgate. I removed the one on my 05 2500 a few times. Very heavy for a tailgate. When I pulled the one off the 91 D150 I almost twisted my back because it was so much lighter lol. I was expecting it be just as heavy as the 05, it was much lighter lol. Everybody complains about new vehicles being cheap…. I can’t say about cars. But trucks, I weighed my 91 after my build 3,800 lbs with me and a full tank of gas. My ex wife’s 07 GT500 3,900lbs full tank of gas and me in it. The SRT10 5,100lbs…. Take off the tailgate 4,100lbs hahahaha
Ok…. Wishful thinking. Frame comparison my 91 was C channel the whole length, my 06 SRT10 closed frame the whole length, I heard they used the 2500 frame. That tailgate though. I could move the bed on my 91 by myself, it was heavy but I could pick one side and slide it back, same on the other side. Gain access to top of fuel tank to run fuel lines and plumb a low pressure fuel pump for the carb. Much easier than dropping the tank. Could you imagine the 10 weighing 3,800lbs?!?!

A member here Jerry Miller (Trainman) R.I.P. , had an n.a. SRT-10 that he got down to a 4170 curb weight.
It was a 561 cuber, ported Gen IV headed solid roller, skinnies, race suspension, that ran 11.23 @ 126.

Even the 11?? 12?? thousand horsepower top fuel dragsters obsess over the 2330 lb minimum weight (with Driver) rule. Weight is a very big deal, fo sho.
