So I have ordered X-metal catless mids and they will be here next week, but my friends and I have been debating how removing the cats doesnt cause the motor to run rich and to run without check engine lights??? Any help?? and I have been looking at the short throw shifters adn would like to know which ones fit up best and which ones acutally improve shifting??

I am not sure what approach that X-metal uses to fool the rear O2 sensor, but my JMB mids came with a metal bushing. This bushing has a small hole in the bottom. It screws into the bung. The sensor screws into the bushing. Now the sensor is only seeing a little tiny hole to the exhaust. It is very simple, and effective. I have had mine for 6 months and about 8K miles. No check engine lights for me.
If your mids did not come with a method of fooling the sensors, you can get the bushings at your local auto store.

Gary/boomer/X-metal includes the mechanical O2 sims with the catless mids at no charge.

Go with either the B&M shifter or Garys shifter. Gary's shifter is better but a bit more noise. The B&M is much better than stock and good as a daily driver. IMO.

add 2 spark plug extenders to each of the rear O2 bungs- gets the sensor out of the stream- works perfect- there is a thread on these - can't remember which one though- you can get these at any parts store on the help rack- i think they are called anti spark plug foulers.

Ah thanks guys!! settled the debate. And thanks for the advice on the shifter hopefully buy one soon.
