05 SRT10 REG CAB

Hello all, I am sort of new to this site and am thinking about pulling the trigger on a red 05 reg cab on Sat. I was wondering if some of you truck owners could tell me of a few things to look for when I check over the truck. The truck has 5000k on it. Thankyou.

Check the clutch. Get into 6th gear and then floor it. If the tach climbs but the speedo don't, it's time for a new clutch. That depends on how much the previous owner dogged on the truck. That will tell you a lot of info on if you want to make this purchase. If that and tires check out, go for it. I'm sure other will chime in shortly.

Some early 05's had same issue as some 04's with harmonic balancer bolt being loose. Other common complaints are oil leak on oil cooler lines (gotta crawl up underneath), abused clutches, door weather strips tearing and AC's that don't cool as well as they should....low on freon from the factory has been fix for most. 05's are best years overall in my opinion which around here doesn't stand for much! (my opinion that is)
