As my parents told me, and probably told you: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Anytime there's an "email me here instead of using Ebay" line, avoid it.
Also- check out the location: "7975 South". South what?
(previous auctions list their location as Elk Grove, IL and Muscatine, IA)

What's happened is that someone has hacked that user's account and is posting bogus auctions. Don't open those emails, people!!! Delete them!

If you *really* want to check into it, go into their previous auctions and find one from several months ago. Contact that person (through Ebay) and ask if the email addy listed is legit. Most folks don't mind the check and will respond.

i checked the vin..its a stock reduction vehicle from chrsyler..apears to be ok looks to be located near tempe az
 
Ok update on that r1 i was looking at!!!!!!!!!
This som of bitch is trying to scam me!!!
First i check the orig listing of where it was on ebay and it says it was removed. We then commnicated thru email after this and he told 2900 shipped to my door by DAS, Then he sends me a pic of the vin. So i tell him i get back to him. I then start lookin around at other red R1 and i come across
another bike with different mileage and SAME VIN #!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've already emailed this assholed called him a good for nothin scumbag!!!
I dont know what to do next, i wonder if hes hacked into my compter now since i opened his emails and file with pictures he sent:dontknow: :dontknow:

File has been removed from Ebay now. I check ebay almost daily for SRT's,
it has been on it for a day or 2, not longer. Scam for sure I guess....

Besides, you can only drive one truck at a time.
 
They probably used pics and VIN from a previous auction... f'in scammers, need to be shot in the face, same with spammers....

Don't worry. I think this is a scam anyway.:confused: I emailed her yesterday, and have not heard back yet.:dontknow:
 
real sellers use the preapproval to validate your bid so they dont lose a sale to a non payer. in this case they want you to preapprove so they can
a steal your identity or
b steal your bank credit and other financial info or
c steal your identity to clean your accounts and then apply for new accounts and clean them also.

pretty good scam as there are people that will fall for this.

Ok, I'll play her game... let's see what happens.

When I was bidding on an '05 RC a few months ago before I got mine, I played the same game with a bogus "second chance offer". This guy was probably pissing in his pants thinking I was going to wire him $30K. I kept it up just for fun... let's make this scammer suffer the same pain!

how can you tell the difference ? (besides the price of course) educate me:)
 
With Ebay they have to use the Ebay message system.. if you ever find anyone on Ebay who wants you to contact them some other way then Ebay don't buy anything.

The ad is a Scam, called ebay on my special number to verify............:D :D

Do Not E-Mail Your Info, Ebay is Pulling Auction, Scam!!
