Thanks for that info. That's why I didn't want it under the hood. I figure something would happen in extreme heat.
If I find a good deal in a roll up bed cover I might just keep it in the bed.
i thought bordens old truck had a bed cover

It may have at one time. It didn't when I got it. I would prefer a roll up kind but haven't seen a good price on one.

Put it under the back seat, just take off the black thing that folds out....

Just go buy a baby seat and strap the bottle into it in the back seat!
:D That is some funny shit right there...yea he's a 10 lb'r, I gotta strap him in....lol

yeah you really dont want to have the bottle in the truck if your not goona useit. On a hot day the pressures will shoot up and blow the safety disc and empty out the bottle.

Mike Brady had it happen on the Super Tank. There is a post on here somewhere that tells the story. If you put a N2O bottle in the cab, you should install the vent line and route it out of the cab.

For it to be track legal it has to have a blow down tube that is routed to the outside of the vehicle if the bottle is in the cab. I have never seen a bottle blow the disk but I used to have a black car and had 2 bottles in the trunk and never had them blow and they were almost always full. It also reaches 105-110 here in the summer so having a bottle in a Silver truck in that kind of heat should be ok with no problems.

must not get that warm in jersey:dontknow:

Well im just going off first hand from the experiece of one of the members.

I remember nowwhat getting both his bottles filled. He left the truck parked in the sun only to come back and seeing a cloud of vapor coming from out the truck..turns out one of the bottles blew emptying out fresh nitrous.
?They were in the bed under a bed cover in a silver truck..

Then why do people heat up there bottles at the track? surely the sun cant be hotter than the torch? :dontknow:

I DUNNO - faulty equipment ? improper install, it reaches about 100 - 103 deg here in the summer, and i take a torch to it when i race and i have never had a problem,....

i am not tryin to get in a debit about it but this is just my .02 i have been running NOS for over 10 year's

but to be serious one of them is "controlled"heat , the other is not....when the pressure gets to lets say 900psi the torch'e will stop where on the other hand the sun will not;)

Thats true the torch will only be "spot" heat, the sun will cook it I guess.

Under the back seat it goes....It will fit once I remove the black storage tray....now i have to get the proper jetting size and a blow down tube and I'll be ready to install...
I just don't want to half-ass install only to realize I need more things for it!

by the way...what would happen if it did "blow-up" in the cab...I'm guessing the blow down tube directs it out of the truck?
