1000 BHp or 900 rwhp?

Guys Thats what i want 1000 Bhp. I want to acheive that with just a Paxton.
(i dont want to fool around with nos) My budget is 20k. I also want it to be driveable. In a Nutshell: I want 1000 Bhp disposable under my right foot and want the daily reliability. So I could drive it and have fun without running into problems.
 
That might be cutting it close since you have a QC. The tranny alone will be around 7-8. Plus you will need a full engine build PLUS the SC and intercooler..:confused:

How will the bottom end cost? i Know the tranny is like 5k
 
You have your head up your ass. Extracting that will cost about half of your budget.

Annu, I think you might be able to make it for closer to $40k.

Not sure the Paxton is capable of getting you past 800rwhp, that's the impression I got from my tuner who is a Paxton specialist. To make it to the 1000 mark you might have to go the twin turbo route with a major engine build, and some serious transmission and rear end upgrades.

But for 20k you could get rods and pistons, head work, a Paxton, and a tune, and you might get very close to 800.

The tranny is more than that, at least a good build. To make 1000HP your going to need more than pistons and rods. My guesstimate would be low 20's.
Don't shop this one. Its not like shopping for a TV set you know. One mistake and everything is up in smoke

I mean I want to keep My viper forever and I know these motors tunable. I love the Viper motor.

What he is saying makes more sense. There is a BIG difference between 800
and 1000 hp. Besides all of this power on the street is DANGEROUS. These trucks do not have the best traction in the world and when you lose it around a turn cause the wheels are spinning is no joke!

Ah Freak it i'm going to wait another 10 months and go the twin turbo route your right. do it right and get what you pay for:rock:
 
Turbo would be more effiecent than a paxton, save more and do the single turbo or TT down the road. When you build your engine blow it out to a 512ci, fully built tranny and rear end w/ 4 link.
 
tranny $6500

rear axle $3500

bottom end $14,000

fuel managment, injectors, odds and ends $3000

depending on power adder $10-$20,000 between super charger, turbo, roe.

labor $5000

20k only gets ya started;)

My Dodge dealer is trying to sell me a Roe upgrade. Pistons rods cam and prted heads for 8k . This will get me around 700 rwhp. If i bore and stroke maybe another 100hp. For me thats sufficient

Annu, you might want to reconsider the wisdom of putting that much horsepower on the street. My basic Roe setup is at the upper limit of controllable street driveability.

Anything past 700 on a street driver is probably just going to go up in burnt rubber.

Blake made over 1K on a paxton only, but it takes a killer heads/cam package and no belt slip with lots of boost. There are multiple vipers making over 1K with a Paxton only as well, but it takes lots of supporting mods.
