yeah....no kidding....on tuesday I punched it at 100 with the streets on...no Nos....figure 700rwhp and it just spun the tires up to the rev limiter....:dontknow: :D

Maybe you guys only look at pictures. Read the article! I was racing and building cars and motors before most of you were born. Thru the years I've worked with the best. Dealing with drivers like Foyt, Allison, Schrader, Stewart, Boat -- Aryton Senna, Michael Schumacher -- Paul Newman, Craig T. Nelson, Walter Payton and many many more. You guys probably didn't even know the last two raced professionally. I learned to respect performance and speed. My truck is for real, I don't need to prove anything. One of you asked about the seat belts. In the picture they were not attached to the 1 1/2" tube between B pillars. The motor is not stock and can handle the NOS. However,the throttle body nozzles can be inconsistent. This is in the process of being replaced with a new intake with direct port nozzles and computer reprogramming. Also in the mix is a new shifter that I haven't heard anyone talk about and a different clutch setup, with more than one disk and I'll leave it at that. I'm doing this because I enjoy it. I hope when you guys are old enough for social security like I am you can build something unique and not have to go out and tear it up. I didn't have to go to the local speed shop and ask for a bunch of bolt on's to try and go fast. I will run it, but only when I'm damn good and ready. It's not fun to sweep up pieces, been there done that. My wife and I enjoy the car shows and talking to the people more than racing. Let's leave it at that and I look forward to possibly meeting you guys at some of the events. Thanks for all the comments, "099 Fever" the old fart you haven't met yet. p.s. you can get dyno sheets and time slips to read anything you want and the're only relevant to the conditions a the time. A serious builder keeps info to himself.

I recall meeting you twice at the car show... the first time there was nothing done to your truck.. but from what I remember you were thinking about NOS... then the the next time I met you about 3-4 months you had this (or a development one) one... we did not get into talking about motor internals, etc.. it was just a good time sitting around talking about things, etc.

But that is why I said I respected what you did. :)

I have not been back to that car show since early this year.. mostly because its just been too dang hot out... :mad:

I will probably see you there later this year...

Please understand that this forum (and many others) get more than their fair share of outlandish claims.
The only reason these guys ask for sheets and slips is to back up those claims.
Without them, we'd all be walking around with 8 second, 1200HP trucks that can do Nurburing in under 7.5 minutes.
See my point?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this case it's worth about 500HP. To claim that a NOS setup- no matter how elaborate or detailed- pushes an extra 500HP is tough for many of us to swallow. We've seen guys send intakes into orbit with a 150 shot, so when someone says "500 with a flick of the switch", we all start to pose questions.

It's not that we don't believe you. It's that we need something to back that up.

Man I love when people get defensive and the answer becomes I was building motors for Mario before your mamma knew how to f$%k...

then you know as you stated that you can't run a 500 shot on these long V-10's with a single nozzle....which means that it doesn't make 1000 hp which is all we said to begin with....:D

Well, once again we have someone with real credentials in the real world, but the rest of us don't know from Adam (Or Eve, for that matter. You just don't know these days.). So a story about this truck lands in our lap, most of us only watch the video (which doesn't illustrate more than the obivous), and we make our own assumptions. Since he's not an active member (even if he was one of the first members), and since he doesn't think it prudent to share information about the build (honestly, what does that matter), what are we left to think?

Anyway, congrats on your build. It's a nice show piece.:)
