12 sec NA QC

Annu and I were talking about if it is possible to put together a 12 sec NA QC. What kind of mods would be nec. to reach this goal? I have a few ideas but nothing with black and white proven results.
 
just install a 100% completely hidden nitrous system and call er good.....just don't let anyone see the bottle and claim all motor....cheapest and most reliable!
 
well ive seen a qc run 12.4 with a k&n , full exhaust ,, and well a 75 shot of nitrous. almost NA ... so i figure u get the 75 hp elsewhere and your good to go :).
 
Start with Black of course...Headers, catless mids, cat-back. Stage II with 93 octane flash. CAI with a new throttle body...and find a jockey(112lbs) to hit the loud pedal!:D

I think he means 12.0. I ran 12.7 with stage 2, intake and exhaust (with front cats, no rears). If you dropped the cats, added a custom tune, meth and low DA I bet you could be down to 12.58-12.65 (Maybe) with the right driver and 1.8 60's. Add some slicks to help get the 60's down and lose some weight. Even then I think the best you could get would be 12.4. Even that would be a stretch. Now if you put on some stryker heads and cams, etc then 12.0 could be obtainable if combined with all the other mods above.

Yes I was thinking in the 12.0 12.2 range. I recommended everything you said above and added 2 other item......forged pistons and the Vec3 piggy backed to the stage2.

In addition what kind of cam profile would you need in concert with the Stryker heads. Would the bottom end also need to be built up?

Futher more I suggested to get the billet trans rebuild.
 
LOL with the spray you really cant say that your N/A. N/A by deffanation is no power adders, NX does the same thing as a forcedinduction truck just does is chemicaly not mechanicly. to call your self N/A you need to run on nutz only. But sweet times by the way.
 
Im trying to break into the 12's with just a MF catback, K&N drop-in, and stock track bars. I almost had it once with a 13.1 pass.:mad:

I think im going to add a couple of sand bags at the very back of the bed to get a little more traction since i cant seem to hook up on 1st and 2nd. We'll see......
 
Ron (Outnumbered) could run a 12.9. He had headers, catless mids, Magnaflow and a Stage 2 PCM. So with a little giggle juice a low 12 should be possile.

Adding the extra weight to your truck is going to hurt your ETs man. Try removing weight instead.
Improve your traction by lowering your air pressure in your rear tires and figuring out the best launch RPMs.

Did done those things already. I just think that i need a lil more traction at launch. If it doesnt work i'll just dump out the sand.
 
My corrected times at this elevation would put me in the 12.8's @ around 105 mph. This is running 14.3's @97 at a DA of 7800 ft. if I would have ran the next day with the 6600 DA I would have been in the hi 13's here which would put me in the mid 12's at sea-level.

Granted these are just figures, you still have to find the ideal conditions and track to accomplish this. See my sig for mods, next step might be the cat-less mids, although I'm worried about drone in the cab. with them I think I can shave off another .2
