160 in a Viper

November 2006 I hit 163 in #1900 one night running with some motorcycle buddies on the 610 loop. It took some time to get there and a hill (coming down the Houston Ship Channel bridge). It felt like I was on ice and scared the hell outta me. As for the 163, some of you may raise the B.S. flag but :dontknow: I call it as I see it. I come clean when I talk about painfully being on the receiving end of a kill, plus one of the other guys confirmed it and so did my aftermarket ////ALPINE NAV unit (it actually said 162 point something). I promised I would never do that again though.

Thats payback for making me feel slow on the AZ GTG run to the track.:D

haha, blame it all on the SCT, brad. It's ok....:elefant: :elefant: :elefant:

I think both of you got owned by stated car in this thread:D
Brad you really need to put a Roe on the black RC, it just looks so bad azz. that blower whine would just be awesome, plus a little more hp helps:p

Yeah, you owned us. You do own an actual "viper" though. I love the viper. Don't get me wrong. I am deeply jealous. However, on the scale of 1-10...if we're talking manliness, you 'car' is very feminine. I give it...eh...an 6. I give a truck...a 10.:elefant: :elefant:

haha...nothing but love.

Seriously, I am going to steal your car. Just watch you keys!!!! It was the talk of the day at the academy today...I drove a damn viper!

I will have to figure out something to one up ya!:D

One up him? If you put roe on your car, and make it comparable to patricks...my neck might shatter!

I'm a little nervous about getting the truck up that fast. I think I'll pass. lol. Something about 5300 lbs at 163 miles per hour just doesnt sink in with me. Crazy bashtads.

And I agree with you.. Of course I had to come to that conclusion with experience, but I'm just glad I accomplished it without injury or death so I can come here and somewhat share the experience. But really I'm not doing that again. I find 120 mph is plenty because by then if you didn't achieve what you set out to then, for the sake of common sense, you might as well just stop it.:dontknow:

I wont call bullshit:D

I pushed out 164 between Yuma and El Centro on I-8 this winter. Not to bad but things are happening fast and took forever to get there. Definitely something u dont want to do on a old set of tires

rumor has it I shold be able to confirm that in due time!

As long as you don't sell it and buy a slow rod..... LOL!!!!! ;)

p.s. - if you are going to put a supercharger on it, don't forget about Underground's Paxton kit, that is what I would do if I had the $$$..... :D

To me it felt she could go more, but by then reality kicks in and you're mind is telling you, "HOLY SHHHHHHHHHHHH... SHUT HER DOWN DUMMY!!!!", and you just decide you want to live.:dontknow: That's how it all played out for me (calling myself dummy and all) and was quite enough. If someone goes faster, more power to them, but PLEEEEASE be careful.

Well it definitly doesn't take a while to get there in a viper.:D
Every time I drive it I can't imagine getting rid of it:rock:

The UGR paxton kit is very attractive, I have to save up so we will see.
Good thing about the Roe is the longevity and reliability and less heat soak. Or I may go with the CPE turbos DIY kit, and have Justin(JMB) install it. Then I can drive it home from MO!!!!

in any event I am accepting donations for these causes:D :p :elefant:

For safety, I definitely agree.

I knew you would. If you crash, you have to will me the viper.:elefant: :elefant: :elefant: :elefant: :elefant:

Ok, but really, I don't want you to try. lol :D

If anyone wants to hire a driver stupid enough to drive a fast car at a high rate of speed on the highway I'm looking for a job!!!
