ok fellas, i've been mulling this over for a while and im going to sell my car. i hate to do it but it's time, it's a 73 340 automatic air car, ive rebuilt the front end and rear end, its got a 3.91 gear ratio with disc brakes front and rear with slotted and drilled rotors. the motor is a 360 bored .30 over with sleeved in every hole. has a stroker kit with eagle h beam rods and diamond pistons. heads are edelbrock rpm that have been sent to hughes engines for a stage 2 port job with arp studs, cometic gaskets and moroso puch rods and triple valve springs. compression ratio is 10.25 to 1 rpm air gap intake with brand new 750 demon carb on it with manual choke. ive got a march performance serpentine belt system on it with polished alternator and ac compressor. also have vintage air system on it. tranny is a 727 auto with cheetah valve body and deep pan. be cool radiator for a big block with electric fans. body has been taken down to the metal and re sprayed plum crazy purple.only metal replaced was piece behind rear window and in between trunk, this car was taken down to bare metal and epoxy primed and left inside for a month so the primer would cure and tighten. ive got new bumpers and all new glass to go in it. motor hasnt been cranked yet. all ive got to do is finish running fuel lines and install radiator. fellas at hughes said this motor should make over 500hp and torque on pump gas and will take spray if you desire. i have everything for the interior except the head liner, all chrome pieces that are available. my plans were to crank it and break in the cam then have body shop spray the stripes and clear it so you couldnt feel them. i can post pics tomorrow. got over 10k in the motor alone. asking 20k for this. oh and i also got a set of wheels for it. i wish i could keep this car but ive got a few things going on right now so before i let it sit id rather get rid of it.

thanks bro i hate to do this these cars are hard to find especially in this shape, no rust inthe floors no bondo never been hit.

I'm real sorry to hear this Eddie. You might want to go to a web site called Moparts.com, and advertise it there. They are all about old Mopars. If times were better I would like to own it, but that can't happen for a long time.

Bill.

I have seen the car , it is flawless:rock:

absolutly beautiful, but I think the viper mod bug has strikken down in Bama;)

that and a few other things. ill get some pics tonight and post them up. all the glass is new and most parts are still in boxes. i know ive got way over 25k in parts not counting labor or machine work. oh and it has tti ceramic coated headers and a 3000 rpm hard stall converter from turbo action.

btw, i grew up in a Challenger family - we had about every color and engine setup at some point. if i had the $, i'd be calling you up. the Challenger is one of the sexiest cars of all time.

ok maybe im wrong, this maybe the car for you, dont know about the gear ratio, supposed to make peak hp at 5500 rpm.
built this car to take on road trips and tear up folks around town and local 8th mile tracks, was planning on putting a gear vendors overdrive unit in it later on. also got a msd billet distributor, 6al box and wires still in box plus a gunslinger carbon fiber pistol grip for auto tranny. got so much stuff for it stored up hard to remember what all ive got for it. i do have all the reciepts and info. i can get cam specs if anyone is serious.

This car brings back sooooooooooo many memories. My first car was a 71 RT Challenger 340 6 pack. If I had the money to buy this blast from the past I'd be in Challenger heaven. Good luck on selling it.

its a beauty eddie...good luck with the sale bud.

Real nice Eddie, I wish times were better I would be all over it. I wish you the best on the sale.

Bill.

thanks bill and shawn, i hope it sells but then again i kinda hope it doesnt. i really love this car. got a lot of work into it. this is the first one ive done since high school. first one was a 1951 5 window chevy pickup 2nd was a 1960 corvette with a 327 out of a 1965 corvette both in high school. both were frame off's.
