This is Big Worm,

I know a lot of you do not know me, however I just left Parris Island, SC where I was a Marine Corps Drill Instructor for 3 years. I have MADE 842 Marines that earn the title from going through me, which is no easy task, even for other Drill Instructors that worked for me.

Out of those 842 I have 34 of them that have been killed while in Iraq, Afghan, or in the States.

I just got word while watching the Pentagon Channel here in Japan, that 2 more of my Marines where killed. It hurts a lot to know a part of you is no more.

Please never forget that there are Military service members giving up there lives for you to enjoy your lives. I appreciate you reading.

SSgt Perez.. WOW! Another great man to salute. :shakehands:I have deep respect for what you do and the soldiers you have trained. :( It saddens me everytime I hear another good American soul is lost in this mess.. or in any situation for that matter. I don't believe soldiers are trained to die, they are trained to be better people while serving their country. Every one lost had plans on going back home to friends and loved ones. It's unfortunate that many won't have that chance. It's not just them or their families that are affected, it's everyone as a nation. For every American soldier lost makes the world that much more grim. Sadly, this doesn't always seem so when observing how too many ungrateful people in our country live their lives each day. I, for one, am at a loss for words when I see a proud young men and women ready to fight for our country. I am certain there are many, many more that share my views on the matter. I will never forget.

SSgt Perez we respect your services to our country. For your 36 fallen soldiers that you trained I give you 36 prayers. I don't know what else I can do other than respect their sacrifices and never forget them. It would help to post their names so we can keep them and their families in our prayers.

I will, post them as soon as I get ther actual date of passing. I appreciate everyone's comments. thank you much it means a lot to know that there are ppl that do care.

I am sad to read this Big Worm..............my sister whom is SES at the Pentagon was just telling me how she just sat down with some Iraq and Afghan vets and had a candid conversation. All Sargents and all had at least 3 tours...............its all so sad. So many people killed and maimed. God bless you and the families. I am sorry for you loss.

Sorry to hear this, as I'm sure it's about the closest thing that can happen next to losing a family member.

To me it's just a god damn shame that when politicians meddle in a war, it's the poor guy on the ground that suffers. If they just let the military run the war it would be over with minimal loss of life. At least on our side, and to me, that's all that matters.
