2 years in a honda.

have to renew my REG. so its been two years this week i got my car.
i put about 160,000 miles on it. the following has been done:
1 tuneup
6 wheel barrings
2 tie rod ends
2 alternators
5 ball joints
11 tires
1 engine
2 sets of brakes
6 rotors
4 c/v shafts
1 lower control arm
2 power steering pumps
2 batteries
1 timing belt and water pump
2 power steering belts
1 serp belt


i plan to keep it for at least 3 more years, at least as a backup car. i want to hit 477,714 miles. or the distance to the moon and back.
funny part is the old engine quit just shy of a moon landing at 234,000!

My girlfriends 2008 Honda CR-V is the biggest POS...27k miles and its been back to the dealer 6 times, for 6 different problems. The sunroof needed to be changed, which took 4 days:dontknow: the fuel gauge stopped working, the ABS light was stuck on, the "one touch" window switches needed more than one touch to work, the rear hatch would not latch properly, and during a snow storm, the traction control had a meltdown and wouldnt allow you to disable it. Its All Wheel Drive, and it became stuck in about 5 inches of snow. We can't wait till the lease is up.

i had a crv, 2003 5 speed. not sure i would buy an auto honda. they have bad reps. the window thing is a problem in mine, no express down, never worked right. 9 years they didn't fix it. fuel gauge works but low fuel warning works once about every 100 tankfuls. sunroof still works good. no leaks. thou the taillights still leaked. i did make my abs freak out for the first time 2 weeks ago, i went down a hill at 10mph, is was solid ice. 1/2 way down the abs light came on and it stopped working. that made it more fun!

actually i got it over 145, but the camera got too shaky to see it so i stopped taking photos here:

and i never wear a seat belt. been in several accidents, they are over rated.
is it odd i only had the truck a bit faster then my honda?
