I got the truck from it's original owner a little over a month ago in a trade for my solstice, but I have some other priorities right now (school) and I don't want to take out more college loans. I'm planning on selling this and getting a car that's around $8,000. I also have some credit cards that are badly in need of being payed off. That is the only reason I'm selling this as I absolutely love the truck, and in another year or two plan on getting another one. It is not nearly as bad as most people think on gas. It gets around 13 mpg around town, and gets almost 20 on the highway. The 05 and 06's were worse on gas due to 4.56 gears. Since I have gotten the truck I replaced the power steering pump which has a one year warranty on it, replaced the front brake pads, and repainted the calipers. Mechanically the truck is now 100% sound!! Also, there is a 100,000 miles warranty good until 2011 on it that is transferable for $25. It is a factory warranty purchased by the original owner. It has been transferred to my name.

The truck's KBB value is $23,000, but I see many of these go for $25,000. Due to MI's economy I am pricing it low to move it as I don't have the time to sit and wait for a higher price. My price is rather firm though. I will look at trades if the right one comes along, but most likely I'll be buying my dad's 98 Wrangler once this sells. Here are some pics, and if you have any other questions please ask.

Only problems:

1) Front bumper has a lot of rock chips, I would recommend a respray. If I don't sell it I will end up respraying it this winter.

2) The rims have some curb rash, previous owner needed some driving lessons. I will end up getting Chrome Verde rims if I can't sell it.

3) Driver's seat has a 2.5" tear in it. I was quoted $150 to fix it. Once again, I'll fix it if I don't sell it.

Who knows, I may stay...the next month will really determine some things for me.

Your reasons for selling are sound. You are thinking very well. You will have those things you want in the future, in spades if you keep making good decisions. Good luck with the sale...it should move at the price you have set.

Stay with us with or without the truck...you are family.

My job right now is part time, but my boss is pushing for me to go fulltime as she needs the extra help so if this happens things will really turn around for me as my part-time college salary will almost double. I'm also stuck with an apartment I moved out of that is 150 miles from me that I still pay rent on of over $800 a month. To be honest that's almost my salary right now so it's got me in quite the pinch. I also have accrued about $10,000 in credit card debt throughout the last year due to an unemployment and then putting a college bill on them. So I'm kind of thinking it would be good to sell the truck, get a $10,000 car, pay off the credit cards, and go on in life. But if things turn around I can have the cc's payed off rather quickly and be out of debt still owning my truck. Guess we'll see how it pans out....

Good luck with the sale. You are definitely making the right choice for the right reasons. Trucks are replaceable, education only gets harder to find time for as you get older and get stuck in the rut of life

Stick around if you sell it though :D

This is why I refer to myself as the idiot :congrats: :congrats:
Thats what my brain was saying but the fingers effed it up!

Noooooo dont do it! You wont be able to live without the power. I sold my last lightning to get something cheaper (Jeep Wrangler) and only lasted 3 months before I had to have something with some serious power again!

I guess, for me, it all worked out in the end though because I ended up with my 10 so maybe you'll sell this one and get an even nicer one down the road??

I've got a plan to be back, better than ever but it will be next summer and I'll hang around until then ;)

Man, sorry to hear your situation, to bad, its just the RC, were it QC I may have been able to spark some interest in a trade for you.

I'll go down to $17,000 but that's bottom dollar as the dealership offered me $16,500 cash. But I've got a very interesting trade prospect right now. :D
