Never driven mine yet but, reasons:

# Interior is snug and of better quality (looking at least).
# More storage spaces and nooks and crannys.
# The interior better reflects that of a race truck cock pit, not a lounge.
# "3" seats in 04-05 regular cab? lol!! More gimmick, shiftin's a pain/awkward. 04-05 QC - Definitely better.
# Night Runner. Cool blacked out head light option and upgrade for other 06 owners.
# Lower production numbers.
# All bugs worked out and things improved on.
# No matter what, you will always have the latest SRT10 model, ever.


That's all. :laugh: At the end of the day, I'd take all 3 years if I had room and a bigger money tree.

05/06 ??

I own an 05 QC and I'll tell you I am stoked every time I get in the thing. And I use mine as a daily driver. Tons of mods externally (custom paint ghost flames debadged, etc.) and am still tracking down what was done with the internals. I have the satellite radio without the NAV and a TOM TOM One. The radio has a clock, I have the moon roof blah blah blah and the only thing I have ever "missed" having is the heated seats those are a blessing here in Chicago. But whatever year you end up with you will not go wrong and you will always be one of only 8,000 people to have your perspective on the world at any given time (that is behind the wheel of the baddest truck known to man). So choose with your heart and welcome to the madness!

I was at the same crossroads about a month and a half ago. I went with the 06 QC mainly because of all the interior goodies. That big Nav screen just looks so sexy in the dash, and I love the way the seats look (much better than the 05). Yo don't get that middle set in the front, but the center console is real nice. I think the colors for 06 are kickass too. I got the mineral grey, but that inferno red is the best... that's my only regret. Also, like some of the other guys said, it is the most rare year.

Bottom line is the 06 looks better but...
whatever you get, you'll love it for sure.:rock: :rock: :rock:

having had 2 05's one RC one QC and an 06qc I can tell you that the 06QC is just a better stock truck... it's fit & finish is better it's interior is better it's handling is better... now this is not to say that I'd never buy an 05... heck I just bought one.... but for stock which one do I like better? my 06

I like the SRT10 logo on the side of the '05s better than those on the '06s. Same for the logo on the glove box.

SRT10 is stitched into the headrest on the '05 versus a logo that's stitched onto the headrest of the '06 (falling off my friend's '06).

The '06 suspension/ride seems to have a tighter feel than that of the '06.

2006 Here :rock: Drove a few used 05's. They were OK but I couldn't pass down the new 06 (bought last month )

I agree...so I have the best of both....2006 with 2005 interior...

This was a "in process" photo...I now have the 2006 console between the 05 seats..a direct bolt in...

it will bolt right in place of the center folding seat but you will need to modify the bottom center area of the dash...
