That thing is sweet! I wonder what they got the weight down to? The ZL1 is a little porky ( I think around 4100lbs). Anybody know the price on them?

The Z/28 is under 4k pounds. AC is optional, no radio or speakers, carbon fiber bits, lighter interior.

Couldn't find a price listed..just that the dealers should see them by this fall. But I'll stick with the Hemi Challenger unless of course that Viper motor suddenly jumps into that Mopar engine bay...now were talking some serious output...:burnout:

Base price will be 60k

For that price or less, there's low mileage 08-09 Z06's on Ebay. I'd rather have one of those.

Just read that the car is suppose to be 3900lbs... I feel like they should have "set the mark" for 3700. I don't understand why the price will be so high. I feel like the ZL1 is the ZR1 of Camaro's and the Z28 is the Z06... so why would the Z28 be more than the ZL1? I actually love it but think it should be in the 50-55k range!

Yeah I agree on the price. I'm of the mindset that when a new car comes out, I look at the price and then look at nice quality used cars of the same performance range. It would be super hard for me to justify spending 60k brand new on the Z/28 when I could get a Z06 with 40k or less miles for about 45-50k. Could take that extra 10-15k money and upgrade the Vette to stomp the Camaro, if it doesn't already bone stock. Z06 curb weight is 3180lbs. The Camaro, even in stripped down Z/28 trim is still fat pig.
