After the build and getting all the kinks out, she is running very nice, did a mpg test today, the best I have ever gotten was 21mpg now with alittle tweaks ;) avg mpg at 68-70 mph was 25.8 in 5th gear downshifted to 4th and cruised at 70 with mpg ranging 18-20 mpg:rock: a little too much traffic to check mpg in 6th. Wow is all I can say and to all the vendors thanks:D Sean,Stinker and Justin:burnout: now stop making me give you guys my money:marchmellow: :marchmellow:

Damn, that's good!

Are we talking Mazda or Nissan? No it is a Toyota huh? No damn way an SRT gets 25 are you joking. Shit I've been at 12.5 consistently. I know it's an Auto and QC but damn.

25.8 mpg you must have been drafting like a muther fker:D

Best Ive gotten is 21 down in Texas.

Please, tell us your secret.

In 6th gear on most rc's If I stress if you drive normal between 68-70 will net a 20mpg QC guys your just screwed cause 6gears is better then 4. Anyway the best I got with the s/c was 21mpg in 6th. Now with larger holes in the restricter plates, increase in flow thus better a/f ratios better burn in fuel. Dyno numbers to come. So it can be achieved if you take the lead plate out of your shoe:marchmellow: the 25mpg's was in 5th at about 68. So test in 6th to come. With a good tune that is also

My 04 rc stock has got a best 17mpg here in WV. We have no level roads!!! I usually get 12.5-13 off highway.

if you dont have an sct yet or a flash to the ecm I would suggest on getting one, makes a big differance.

The flash will improve fuel mileage? I am assuming the timing is tweaked? Tell me more and thank you.

If you are using the truck's MPG readout it is wrong. The PCM flash will cause false readings....
that was used for just comparison, but I was on e so I decided to put only enough to get me to work, the guy looked at me funny when I only put in 2gallons of fuel, because I dont know how many know that are truck has only about a 1/2 gal reserve so when that light comes on it is time to get gas, but anyway the average came out to 25.8mpg. Would like to do it on a dyno and get it down perfect but I will waste the money in other ways more MODS:burnout:

Best way to check mileage is by filling the tank...drive at least 50 miles of city or hwy depending on what you want to check...refill at same pump...miles/gallons used.......try to do on the same day because weather conditions can change fuel volume..

I get 34 mpg At 80mph! I did that by parking the srt10 and buying a mini cooper.lol

My quad cab got 120 MPG...

It was on a trailer and I let it idle cause the battery was dead and needed recharging...:D...A hour and half later...the gas needle didn't move at all...:D :D

I found there is almost 1 mpg difference between using the onboard overhead and actually checking the mileage. The overhead is just for a rule of thumb. It is not correct even with the stock ecm. I always fill my truck and then refill after a complete tank of gas to be accurate. Check your truck like that and see if there is a difference. I know mine has only got 17 on the interstate so far. Like I said earlier, it gets somewhere in the 12-13 range off the interstate.

Everyone must also remember that the 04 came with 4.10 gears, which helps the MPG. The best I have ever got was 20 MPG at 65 MPH. Usually I go about 80 MPH, getting about 17 MPG.

Bill.

The best I got in mine before the 4.88 swap was 23.8. That is at 65-70 for two tanks of gas in 6th. Now the 4.88.......oh hell I don't even care!!!
