3rd brake light removal

just like the title says, i am taking my taillights of for spray tinting and i cant seem to get the 3rd brake light out???

I alredy took out both screws and it wont budge, not even a slight bit,

i am afrraid to pry on it for fear there is some sort of rubber or foam gasket of sorts to keep water out:dontknow:

like i said, both screws out an it wont budge

am i missing something?:dontknow:

Grip your fingers behind the edge and give a good jerk on one side or the other, once it starts to release it will peel off just fine. It has a thin foam seal that sticks to the body...I got frustrated myself when I went to pull mine with my new 3rd brake light housing. lol

will i need a new gasket though, i am putting the stocker back on, not a new aftermarket one

mine came off just fine with the housing with no tears or anything, I could easily put it right back on with no worries of leaking
