Congrats Mas, I'm anxious to see how much a difference in replacing gears makes. BTW do you know how much more is it to go to 5.13's with Unitrax? We have a Dana 40 or 60 rear end?

What do you have to do for the break in period? I am still on the fence on which ones to put in myself.

Break in is 300 miles or more and drive in 5th or 6th at low rpm's. Oil change should be done between 2500 and 5000 miles.

I just called them and they told me it would be the same as 4.88's $775 installed.

Ran into some problems with getting parts in....Why vendors send parts out incomplete is beyond me:dontknow: Needless to say, I don't want to rush it at this point. I think I'll race Mas I want to get a 12 at Famoso too...I think we'll be a good race. I would call you out but it'd be kinda cruel to beat you with my sisters car

Update. I finally got to the track with the 4.88's and I think it made a difference. I can't remember if my best prior time at LACR was 13.7 or 13.6 but I matched or beat that time yesterday 13.64. I am not sure how much time difference heatsoak would make but the difference in temperature was 50 degrees with 4.10's and 102 degrees with 4.88's yesterday. Personally I think it made a huge difference but I am not a 100% sure cause the times were the same.
