$4.89 a gallon!

I honestly don't pay much attention to the gas prices. Did however see on the news somewhere in the LA area was 5.89 a gallon for 91. I think I filled up at around $4.85 a gallon yesterday though.

The reason for the high price is due to two refineries going off line. One due to a fire; seems we have one of these every year around this time, the second due to a power outage (over a week now) and some crap about an oil line having to shut down. Since this is the time of year that we have to buy "The Summer Blend" there are only a couple of refineries that can mix it. So when one drops off line the supply drops and the price jumps. If our POS Gov "Moonbeam Brown" would get off the stick and get the CARB (another dubious government entity) to allow the switch to "The Winter Blend" a month early the price would drop. But, Wait! If he did that then the state would lose a bunch of sales tax (8.75% on the dollar) money.
