My goal was to wait until the truck got half way to 100K miles to treat it to a new complete Centerforce clutch setup but I couldn't quite make it...
On Saturday, it took me around 3 minutes to get the truck into reverse (in a parking lot) so I figured it was time... It hasn't happened since then but no use delaying the inevitable...
Placed the order with Justin at JMB for the complete setup and a brand new shiny stock flywheel...
I got a quote from the dealership in Beaverton (where I bought the truck) and they quoted me 10 hours of labor at $92 per hour... Luckily, I have a contact at another dealership that should be able to do the install for around $400... Let's hope the $400 quote holds true.

That's crazy! You should be able to get that done for around $200:dontknow:

3 hours at $80 sounds fair to me...but at most $300

:eek:WoW!! 42k miles beat me by 10k when my CF and stuff was installed... And I thought I babied mine... :rolleyes:SHEESH! [jk]:D

I waited until I could smell clutch. The second time did it for me. That odor lingered in my head as I finally broke down and made the order. It's been wonderful ever since. Just baby it as much as possible the first 800 miles or so.

61K miles and still on original. You guys need to learn how to use a manual clutch. I'm on my 5th set of tires so its not babied. Even at 3-4hrs a good mechanic will have it done long before that....its called earning a bonus. 10hrs labor? thats called shop bonus...!

Thanks for all the input.... I knew that $1000 to put in a clutch was just retarded.. I'm going to wait until I have the kit in hand before I start shopping the other local dealerships. Justin said my setup should ship in 2-3 days. I'm ready to pay up to $400 for a quality install.

29000 on oem clutch,,after gtg in sept i may just go ahead and have mine done :D
