So I finally am getting around to doing my trans. The only thing I know for sure is the my front band is shot. I am looking to rebuild the trans (new steels, clutches, bands, etc). Most kits you find online are for the diesel, but they should be the same clutches and bands correct? I am buying all the parts and a local shop is putting it all together for me. I dont want to do the billet input shaft and such because I would like to go 6spd eventually, so just a cheap/mild build. Anyone have any input if a diesel rebuild kit is the same for out trucks? I already have a transgo kit in the trans and the upgraded pressure solenoid and manifold.
