What would cause fluid to come out of the vent tube at high rpm ? The tranny is not full. When I open the fill plug nothing comes out.

Do our t56s have that lil valve on the end of the hose like the factory t56 chebbys?
Yea it has a little valve on it.
Has this happen to anyone else???
I have not experienced this but would suspect you need to change the trans oil. Probably foaming up to much.

the oil is not old. maybe 5000 miles on it and its right where it need to be
So either the oil is poor quality or a bad batch or the oil is boiling and that would be bad!! Go on a spirited run and then crawl under and check the tranny temp.

I did. I filled it up through the shifter and when it started over flowing I out the shifter on.
I thought your supposed to fill it in the "fill" plug....
Might have put wayyyyy too much fluid in it E.

Yes you can fill through shifter as its easier but it should only be up to fill plug level. I think he said he filled till it came out fill plug?
Don't know. Wasn't clear. Hopefully not till its flowing out the shifter base.
