One badass road racing truck!! Just got back from Pueblo this weekend. Did 2 days of road racing on the new power and suspension mods.

Biggest improvement compared to last year was the lowering kit and probably even more the adjustable shocks. To be brief I was catching a BMW Z4 in the twisties as well as a race prepped Porsche. On the straights (longer then a 1/4 mile) I was reaching speeds of 125-130 mph...needless to say not many could/would keep up with me :)

EBC brake pads did very well, had to use more brake on this track then at Hastings (last year) and once I got them warmed up they did great.

This truck is/was THE focus of the weekend. Other racers had heard a truck was road racing with them and couldnt believe it. Numerous compliments not only on the sub 2 minute lap times (1:54.701) was my best Sunday but how the truck sounded at full throttle down the straights pushing 130 mph. THEY LOVED IT. In fact, one quote was "its the anti-Miata". The truck is the opposite of spec-Miata group. Other racers could not believe that this truck could go around a road course...much less overtake BMW's, Porsches, etc. Granted there were faster cars in my group. I'll post pics of the cars I had faster lap times against later on Monday.

Kept the front shocks on "9", lowered the rears to "7" with some air pressure adjustments for my fastest time.

Anyway, the truck handles MUCH better with the adjustable shocks. Add over 700 rwhp and you've got yourself a great road racing truck :)

Many pics will come later, I'll also provide a link to photos taken by a professional photographer once they are up on the website.

Damn that sounded like an absolute blast!!!!!! So you gonna keep the truck now? hahhaha. I get the same way man, wanting to sell it after i fill up the tank.

If someone does purchase this truck they are getting an absolute steal!!!

Quite a few in my race group as well as others had asked how much power it was putting down. I said "just over 700 at the wheels"...they just smiled in disbelief :) The truck not only has more then enough power now for a road course...it also has much improved handling and sufficient brakes for the twisties. I was more then happy with the results. I knocked 3 seconds off my time sunday morning from my fastest saturday afternoon. Biggest reasons were familiarity with the track, cooler track temp, and my comfort level with the trucks handling/reaction to my driving and the power on tap.

Even before we got on the track for our 20 minute sessions quite a few were already prepared for me to pass them on the straights and said they would simply signal me by if they saw me in the rear view mirror :burnout:

Its quite an accomplishment to be able to take a truck and have it compete with cars that are known for handling such as BMW, Porsche, etc. When you see the video I think you'll be more than impressed that the SRT-10 nation was very well represented!!

hell ya man! that sounds too cool i can't wait for the videos!! :D

dave that is great. i am stoked to hear of the number of guys roadracing with our kits. maybe we could start a whole new series? LOL!~
dude i am stoked for you that is great news. can you send me some pics for my site if you get time?

Heres a few of the cars in my group (HPDE 3). My times were the same as or faster than the cars in these pics. I'll add more pics or links to them when the other NASA folk post them. The VW was very quick, the G35 was a twin turbo with 6 psi of boost and making 363 at the wheels, and the 240SX was turbocharged.
