8.0 block repaint.

only got the one pic for now but after graduation its gonna git some small changes, no runnin boards, new tag on bumper take the bug deflectors off... etc etc... lol small stuff

Thanks, im real proud of it. its only got rust on the passenger rocker and cab corner. but its small enough i will just git patches for it.

oh yeah i know, i worked at a body shop for a year or so, got laid off a couple months ago. it aint hard and i got a couple buddies that own body shops so im sure i could git it done cheap.

no over drive and no reverse. is gittin a rebuild atm. puttin in a triple disk torque converter and billit input, and mid shafts. and a shift kit. and he runs. needs 02 sensors and a abs module but everything else works amazin. he sounds damn throaty when idling

before college im shootin for about 400 horses and 530 ftlbs of torque. afte college i want closer to 600 horses. and 750 ftlbs.

I'm hoping to be at NA 600 HP next year if all goes right. But we will see.

i think 600 is all the magnum 8.0 is gonna give me with iron heads. the intake is almost perfect in its design but the heads choke up so much airflow its rediculous.

what all are you plannin for your rig?

That's all I would need. Then I would just hit the nos on top of that.

i aint gonna run giggle juice in mine. dont trust it. i figure imma do alot of old hot rod tech to make power, gasket tricks, polishing the heads, head shaving. more air and fuel. then after all that... the super charger

Ya know I always wondered why people didn't have their heads chromed..? U cut don't on the diamter of intake and exhaust runners. But ur getting a surface that smooth as glass...

Just for the record and to help, the RB 440s of old were "mainly" hemi orange. I say mainly in terms of when they were at their peak in the strongest years of the muscle car wars (1969-1971). They were produced originally in turquoise (1966 to early 1969). Through 1969-1971, the HP blocks were all Hemi orange. The standard 440s were blue.

The 426 Hemis had 2 variations, street and racing Hemi orange. Street was a deeper/darker colour (almost reddish) while the racing Hemi orange was the brighter/lighter orange. Hope this helps, E-Bodies are a big passion of mine and I have done (overkill) research over the 10 years I have owned mine. A couple exmapls of my donks below. Sounds like a fun project, good luck and keep us posted! Cheers!

Ps: I agree, for a red vehicle, orange (depending on shade) will clash mate. White (sounds bad) but white would pop and be unique, hard to tell without seeing the vehicle though. Silver, black, something neutral would work best on an impact colour like red. My 2c.
