Well Johnny Lightning set a new world record. Not bad for a 3700# truck with a 330 ci motor.

Here it is ON DA BUMPER!!

So I see that DMP has some catch up work to do. They set the record last week at 9.5x These L's are quick.

What makes this so amazing is that its a Ford.:D :p  But it is a great boost for pickups in general..

Yep...nothing brings a look of total confusion like a big ass pickup handing some wannabee his ass on a platter. :D

Nothing spells sleeper like t r u c k :burnout:

I think my avatar says it all.

If the proper tire and wheel combo were available for our trucks and we were to drop 1300 pounds I think the results would be quite interesting. Is that lightning a manual or auto...another thing to think about with our regular cabs...you gotta shift.

Yeah wheels and tires make a big difference. Most Lightning and HD guys that are serious, grind the calipers so they can use 15" wheels. The new MT DR's are off the freaking hook with 1.5 60' times, but they are NOT made for 16" rims which do fit without grinding the calipers. You guys are stuck with 17's aren't you? Isn't there a smaller set of rear discs that could be retrofitted that would allow for 15" wheels for you guys?

As far as dropping weight, i'm stock and 5500# and i know Sue's HD was running High 10's in stock clothing so it is possible.

All newer 99-04 lightnings/HD's are automatics.

Sure wish I had some pics of the 10.47 run of a CTD !!! Just a little ole farm truck w/6 cyls !!!!
