I posted this site a month or so ago and wanted to give an update...the blower pictured on his site is a 14-71 that's going in a (I believe he said) '35 Dodge pickup being done by some guy in upstate New York...

I spent a long time on the phone with Don Hampton today and he says he can deliver a complete 8-71 blower, manifold, and carb (throttle body) adapter for our trucks for about $6k. That does not include any engine management at all, you'd be required to do that on your own. I would assume one or more of our vendors could help sort all that out once the plumbing and wiring got done. He said you'd need about 8.5:1 compression and you absolutley need to key the crankshaft so the assumption would be that you'd need to competely rebuild the bottom end to lower the compression, change the cam, and key the crank, not to mention beef the whole thing up anyway.
This project would not be for the faint of heart, but it would be one bad ass ride when it got done...I'm pondering it...there's much research to be done, but damn, how cool would that be!!! Talk about a totally one off and unique build...
