So the last 2 days the truck has been making this kind of whining sound. Now being new to this truck I haven't the slightest idea what it is. Seems to happen at lower rpms to about 2000 then seems to be quiter after that. It may only happen in 1st and 2nd gear too butbi cant fully tell. I thought it might be the clutch but the truck is still driving normal other than this new sound. It sounds like it's coming from the front. Any idea what it could be? Seems loudest when the truck is cold and once it heats up it quiets down a little.

If you can get us a video of the sound that might help.

Probably the infamous oil filter whine:) or a power steering pump about to grenade!:(

Got a quick video on my drive home from work.

I did notice that when turning it seems to amplify the sound.

The end of the video is just me parked and revving the engine a little bit. You can really hear it then.

I'll check the fluid level tomorrow morning before I leave the house. I'm hoping it being low is the only thing wrong!

Supercharger, obviously. Surprised you didn't notice it sooner.

Seriously though, that's not at all what my oil filter whine sounded like.

So there was no power steering fluid in the resevoir. Got some in immediately and drove around and everything seems to be fine now.

Can't believe I didn't think of that earlier. I had the same thing happen to my previous truck. I'll check the lines maybe a bit later to see if they're leaking and may have to order some new lines to fix the problem if it exists.

If you are low on fluid, you have a leak.

Well I definitely have a leak. I had to put more fluid in the truck today.

Looks like I need to order some lines. Are the JTSV lines the best to go with?
