OK, so I bought some drag radials hoping to brake into the 12's in my QC. My best so far is a 13.1...... I ran consistant 13.3's all night trap speeds at 102-103mph. I thought maybe if I put my 22's back on I would do better, because my truck was shifting into 4th about 20-30 ft from the end......I ran two 13.4's. So the only thing I could think of was the night of the 13.1 it was really cold outside and I had a tailwind.

NOW, could I have my computer flashed for the drag radials or will it really matter?

Well my whole thing with the DR's was to not tear up the 22's, I was hooking good, it actually put me back in my seat....and I was like WHOA!

What were your 60' times with and without the DR's?

They were the same as when I ran the 13.1......a 2.02

Now I will say I need some pratice launching, or buy a line lock or something, because I power braked it and one time @ 3000 rpm the tires broke over and F*ed me up at the tree and my RT suffered

Your 2.02 60' isnt bad with the stock tires...I have gotten 1.9s with the stock tires...1.7s with the DRs...if you could shave .1 off your 60' you will be in the 12s..

With that low of a MPH your not shifting fast enough, or your short on power...

Cold weather and low humidity will make a big difference, were You on the converter or punching it on 3rd yellow?

I have often cut 1.8 60's on the stock 22's. Keep your truck in Tow Hual mode to keep from shifting before crossing the 1/4 mile line.

Try 18-20 p.s.i. in the drag radials. An 1100 r.p.m. launch works fine as well.
And, drop your spare to shed a whopping 97 lbs. Dropping 100 lbs. should be good for approx. 1 tenth and 1 m.p.h.
Just ask Trainman, dropping weight where you can really starts to make a difference...

B.T.W. Nothing wrong with LOW 13s with your mods at or near a sea-level track. Seems right to me.

There was ONE SRT-10 Reg Cab in the 13s (with slicks) in Vegas over the weekend.
Most were somewhere in the 14s and a couple of stock QCs in the low 15s.
Conditions were quite similar to our local track in the Summer and the E.T.s were also the same, mod for mod.

You will get your 12...

dont wait for the green light ryan ,,when that last yellow lights up nail it :burnout:

ditto on presure i run 17 in mine

I was running 20 then went to 25...no change. I will have to pratice the 1100 rpm launch, I was trying it in the 2-3000 range. And yeah I know to leave at the 3rd yellow light....but i still found myself looking down at the tach

Dont worry about reaction time for now...it only matters in real races..doesnt affect times....get you launch and ETs in order then work on reaction...

Here is a burnout clip, the mustang is in my car club and it was an easy win
