AC much better!

One of your doors is probably stuck and the fan is eating it. Pull the blower motor and check. It 3 screws on the passenger side.

I know this because guess what failed on my truck with less than 6k miles......
you guessed it, the re-circ door. :marchmellow:

Thanks for the help guys, I'll see what I can find as soon as I get it back from the tranny shop!

Damn you wesalbert and your fast typing. :D :D

As for you, fix your door with epoxy or buy a new one. Your truck won't cool as good as if it were working.
Your AC now is pulling air in from outside and inside. When on the highway you are blowing hot air in faster then the blower can blow it out.

It takes mine about 5 or 10 minutes to get good and cold on the passenger side
I do not know what my passenger side does.

How long did it take to get the dash off to get to the blower and blend door? How hard was it?

Smoke

Just move to Oregon. On the 10 or 15 days a year you need the AC just roll down the window and drive alittle faster.:D :D

I have a similar prob. Same fix??? Fan on high, doesn't blow as cold on passenger side. Also, fan is on high but air doesn't come out so hard on drivers side. Just recharged system last year and a new compressor. Sometimes I heard a noise that sounds like something hitting the fan. Also, air comes out at the bottom no matter what setting I turn it to.
