@rottenronnieHey Ronnie, you seem to be very knowledgeable about this issue, my truck stays stuck on 3rd gear with bunch of codes that are electric related. I was told the TIPM needs rebuild. My question is, do you know anyone that does rebuilt this tipms? Sometimes shifts normal and if i hit a bump or something just stays stuck on 3rd
Any luck with the before Christmas wish for getting your truck back?Today they called me from the workshop. One of the valves, is not working - broken or bad conection. They will chek it and if neccesary buy it from US. I hope I will get my car ready before Christmas.
He may be on a holiday he hasn't checked in for a couple weeks. Maybe he's frozen in up there!
Surely he will he hasn't checked in for a couple weeks but he will sooner or laterAnd yes lol, lot of codes and they all point to the TIPM!! Hopefully he will have some idea.
My truck is ready. I got it yesterday from the workshop. First they changed the governor pressure solenoid, but it was not from it. After changing the pressure sensor the gearbox is out of limp mode. Now I have first and second gear and real pleasure of driving it.Any luck with the before Christmas wish for getting your truck back?
Glad you got it back! Possibly the codes just need cleared? I'm only guessing. Enjoy it and let us know about the check engine light when you find outMy truck is ready. I want to thank every one here for the support and help.
P.S. Now I have check engine light aways on, but I will look for this issue after new year.
It seems that having this car will be emotional roller coaster all the time.
Simple to check codes .. Turn the key on off , on off then on and leave it on … the codes will show on the trip odometer on the dash .. let us know the codes !My truck is ready. Yes , disconnect the battery terminal and reconnect and it will clear the codes … Then see if they come back after driving it for a while ..Glad you got it back! Possibly the codes just need cleared? I'm only guessing. Enjoy it and let us know about the check engine light when you find out
Happy New Year!

So based on all that maybe check the basic things mentioned then clear the code and drive it to reset the computer and see if the code returns?Merry Christmas…
Code seems to be a common one , but can be a pain in the tail hahaha …

I disconected the battery and drove it. I have no more check engine light but I locked my radioSniff around for the smell of gas fumes …
Visually Check all hose from engine all the way back to the gas tank… the end hose to the gas tank require you to drop the gas tank to inspect or replace parts and hoses . Just check the ones you can see !
Try a new gas cap….
Check Evap components electrical connections for corrosion, disconnected or broken wire and function …
If it all looks good then you need to run a smoke test or have someone do it …
Adjusting the throttle cable a little and should or may fix the shift hunting ,,, that was common on the QC from the factoryI disconected the battery and drove it. I have no more check engine light but I locked my radio
Because now I have first and second gear,
shifting between first and second is a little bit strange. If I am slowly accelerating the shift is not smooth. It is like shifting back and forth between first and second bu not everytime. If accelerate faster there is no problem.
How is your shiftting?
P.S. I post one picture from yesterday.
How should I adjust the throttle cable?Adjusting the throttle cable a little and should or may fix the shift hunting ,,, that was common on the QC from the factory
