I'd like to suggest that the Admin here add one line to the individual post title bar: Year & Model of the owner's vehicle.

Why? Well for a plethora of reasons, a few of them being:
- Helps with questions from other members.
- Prevents incorrect sales of parts/materials.
- Will stop posts with questions like, "Is yours an 04 or 05 or 06" and "QC or RC?", and the other all-too-common questions that get posted.

It will also take care of posts and situations like this:

Not everyone has their info in their signature, and not everyone has signatures turned on (like me).
If the BASIC vehicle information is in each post title bar, everyone will be able to see it...and it can't be turned off.
Here are the 2 potential areas where the Year/Model info can be added:

This will automatically add it to their profile as well.
If there are multi-vehicle owners, input boxes can be added to the profile input page.

If the Admin need assistance with the vBulletin code for this, feel free to contact me.
It's quick and easy and will help out ALL the members.

Agreed, I think it makes sense. Good point Kev!

I don't want to force people to post information if they feel the need not to. That is why email address and other 'personal' information is not published. If people feel the need to post there Year, Make, and model, then they can in their signature.

I do not (that I have noticed) think we have large situation with information lacking in members posts. If need be, a simple "what year" can be asked, and saves us a lot of bandwidth then having extra lines in every members profile including database entries queries.

Thanks for the request!

I'm not the only one that's been "D'oh!"'d by a listing here....simply because the year/model info wasn't seen.

It's not a "forced information" thing.
It's an optional part of their profile (that shows up in their post header).

Not everyone has a signature.
Not everyone has their year/model info in their signature.
Not everyone has signatures turned on.
....but....
EVERYONE can see a post header.

It's 5 minutes in the code. I'll do it if the Admins don't want to.

EDIT- And loading up ONE LINE of code is *much less* of a bandwidth hog and server load than some of the gigantor signatures on here.
I've seen a few sigs that have everything BUT the year or model.

Great Idea Kevan! These trucks in some way do define who we are. :)

I also like the idea. I had to turn the sig's off because some of the gif's that people were posting in their sig was slowing the web page way down. However I don't really think that it is a need, just something cool to do. Member number and posts are really useless.
