only 31,000 miles

NADA: clean retail value,$15,650
high retail value,$16,675

KELLY BLUE: private party $11,565

mods are in my sig. this is a HD (heavy duty 2500)
some mods not in sig.-pioneer head unit, mtx thunder box with 2 10" subwoofers and 600 watt amp, tool box and bed sprayed with turboliner
6 trailmaster SSV shocks and steering dampner
xenon fender flares

some costs...

tires and wheels-$2,000.00 (about 50% of tread left)

blemishes-one small dent under back of rear bumper (can't see it) a couple of light scratches in clear coat (could be buffed out) other wise body is perfect.

small ding in windshield, plastic bezel around dash has a crack, mounting point where dash meets windshield cracked, otherwise perfect interior (no smoke)

thats the truth i bought my 16 yr old a z71 and in a year it looks like shit, he only washes it when i make him. its a mess trying to teach him values when hes been with his mother for 15 yrs. makes you want to bite nails seeing a perfectly good vehicle be treated like that.

...funny story totaly off subject

There are 3 of "us" that hang out all the time Sammy, Ryan, and me. Sammy's parents bought him a 2004 gt mustang when he turned 16, he totaled it in a month. Then they got him a truck that he treated like shit and for graditution they trded his truck for a GTO. He has so many dents in it, it's never washed, and he has got a ton of tickets. Ryan got a z71 1500, and it's LOADED. He got it stuck in a big ditch, while drunk then it rained. It was under 6 foot of water. Then they bought him a 2500 z71, and he crashed it. My parents got me NOTHING, so I bought a 1990 dodge, got a second job and started saving. When I turned 18 I bought my bee, had to finance a little. Then I doubled payments and payed it off in 12 months. I sold it with 59,000 miles on it and not a scratch, and it was AWAYS clean. Now I bought this truck, I scratch the rear bumper but I'll be getting that fixed soon... I was pissed at my parents for not buying me a car, but now i kinda realize that if they bought it for me I wouldn't have been MINE, I knew all the stuff I had went through to get my truck that I wanted to take care of it. Plus when I bought it myself they were VERy proud of me and that made it that much better.

BUMPED! come on guys, you are all truck enthusiasts, what do ya think? can i get $20,000.? i guess a place like e-bay would be my best bet?:dontknow:

Things are always worth what someone is willing to pay. Period.

We all know you almost never get invested dollars back out of it. I honestly don't think the market is that demanding for a modified truck thats 9 years old. :)

I think your best bet is to de-mod it sell the stock truck close to its private party value and sell the mods separately. If you have the patience and time, I think thats the best way to regain most of your money back.

Or hope someone has more money than sense! :) Back when I was 16 I paid a few thousand more than a Toyota truck's value cause it was lifted.

Good luck, its a sweet truck!

I would say no Sancho... ebay is for the common buyer trying to find a good deal. There are a few people that are looking for the "unique vehicles", but mostly deal seekers. I would post in local newspaper, or even Southeasttexas.com there are alot of rednecks that hang out there. THEY WOULD LOVE THAT TRUCK!! Good luck!

Just my .02 cents!

That is a sweet truck....post it at $20Kobo, I think you'd get at least 16k, if not more.....hell, if I had some spare bones, I'd buy it, but probably not at 20 :D

Good luck, nice truck....run that autotrader ad that goes until you sell....

I sent you a PM and tried to discuss the truck with you. But now that I see you want 20k for that truck then nevermind. It's a nice truck but it's not a 20k truck in my opinion. Unfortunately for you, I think you'll only bring in about 15k for it. Good luck with the sell, though.
